So a friend of mine recently turned me on to this ‘Pimp My Salad’ brand of kitchen prep flair. As usual, I read the reviews.This particular flavor I was concerned with! I have explored the strangest flavors, combinations, concentrates and pretty much anything edible. Yes, I have tasted pure liquid smoke. It’s pretty harsh. So are quite a few of the reviews I read here.Once I got the package I waited. I was not actually stoked to open the bag and repeat the experience I read about - lingering taste of too much flavor permeating my day.My friend and I met up for salad at the beach. I figured worst comes to worst I could try rinsing my throat with sea water.We cracked open the bag and...What a DELIGHT! Given what I had read I was prepared for utter disappointment.What I got was complete joy! The coconut flakes were fresh (I know what rancid coconut flakes taste like and they are far too common in bulk bins, bags of granola or other brands of coconut flake items), the flavor was slightly sweet, hint of salty and a rich savory yum.There was not really a ‘smoke’ flavor as other reviews prepared me for. It was actually a product I am also familiar with - coconut aminos. The equivalent to another highly salty soy sauce alternative. It’s more delicious and sweeter than soy sauce.All in all, this product is amazing and worth the value in anticipation waiting for it to arrive on your doorstep. Not just for salad, also a great snack with nothing at all to dilute the level of YUM! that is brought to your mouth in each handful.Ignore the other reviews. Those people are clearly disgruntled and probably haven’t a clue what good food is supposed to taste like.

Creeper and not the good kind!
When you get ur first taste, you think they are going to be pretty good, but then BAM!, and I mean BAMMMM! This horrible flavor creeps in and man, you can't get it off your tongue 😝! 2 bags I ordered... 2 BAGS! UGH! 🤮

Flavor more Smokey bbq than bacon flavor
It’s nice on salads with ranch like dressings, but by itself caries a heavy bbq/smoked flavor so it’s not really something you want to add to pastas or pasta salads unless bbq flavor is your thing. It’s not terrible, just not what I was looking for.

Not for me. Ugh! I was looking for something to dress up my salads. This is horrible. We couldn’t get the lingering taste out of our mouths.

Yuck.
Im sorry but i found these disgusting. Taste sorta like funky soy sauce and left a horrible taste in our mouths. Cant imagine it being good on any kind of salad. So terribly disappointed.

If you like that kind of stuff
Not my favorite. However, does have a bacony coconut flavor. But if really crave that bacon flavored stuff it’ll work

These "bacon" bits are delicious, but they are not bacon
While the bits are clearly not bacon, the smokey flavoring really does enhance any meal, be it a simple salad or a cooked vegetable stew. A little goes a long way so it seems that there is value in the purchase as well.

Omg vegan bacon mac and cheese
It's so good! Flavor is really good and is great in many dishes
