It is important to put the mode switch in the correct position. On = Low speed mode 1.5 Mbps (indicated by Yellow LED), Off = High speed mode 12 Mbps (indicated by Blue LED) to avoid issues, see attached image

This product arrived in an antistatic bag - and that's it! No instructions.The board is poorly soldered with lots of flux on the back of the board - it looks cheap and nastyThere is a switch on the board and thanks to Rudie above (Thank you!) we know know what it does.I tried it on a USB wired mouse. Limited success. It works in low speed mode (switch on) but is as dead as the proverbial door-mouse in high speed mode (switch off).So will it work for my intended purpose - isolating a USB oscilloscope? I will let you know when the scope arrives in the next day or so.Initial Summary -cheap and nasty.

Thought this would be a simple way to remove ground loop audio noise issues for devices connected to my USB powered hub - sadly, whilst it does isolate the USB ground between the hub and the computer, it does so at the expense of removing 90% of the USB functionality - no multi-channel device support, and didn't solve the noise issue.If your USB audio device is suffering from ground loop noise issues, cough up for the iFi Defender+ instead, it just works well for anything up to USB 3.0 devices.

Just for people in similar situations to myself.This removes all USB interference from my Reloop Beatmix 4 MK2 serato controllers audio interface which is linked to my desktop PC. Unfortunately though, it also blocks the Reloop's MIDI interface from working and hence no control over serato/virtual DJ. Shame really.I have not tested it with an external powered USB hub as has been suggested in other reviews. If i decide to go that route I will update this review.

Any device I plugged in to my computer through this just stopped working. Even a mouse. Completely blocks communication between any devices

I used these to isolate a device from the raspberry pi it was connected to.I bought two of these modules, one worked and the other was one DOA, I don't know if I was just unlucky or whether the quality is bad.The working unit was fine and did exactly what it said.

Like many others have said: I does remove the noise but also any chance of communication between devices (even 1.1 ones). Doesn't work

Avevo un sistema di sensori gestito da un Teensy.Quando lo collegavo al pc tramite USB, i segnali erano molto disturbati rispetto al funzionamento indipendente con lettura su display e salvataggio dei dati su SD.Questo circuito ha cambiato totalmente le cose.Rapporto segnale/rumore migliorato di almeno dieci volte

Funciona e resulta numa melhoria notória na qualidade de som do sistema de aúdio de alta fidelidade ligado à porta USB do meu PC. Uso auscultadores hifi.

Mijn bureau heeft een macbook met dock en een PC die samen via USB & S/PDIF op dezelfde DAC zitten aangesloten. De S/PDIF geeft uiteraard geen problemen, maar zodra de USB kabel in de MAC of PC gaat ontstaat er een grounding loop. Een irritant geluid dat hoorbaar is zodra de muis beweegt of als een van de computers iets harder aan het werk gaat. Het afplakken van de ground pin in de USB connector hielp niet. Ook het compleet afsluiten van de stroomvoorziening via de kabel hielp niet. Elke USB poort ongeacht welke computer gaf hetzelfde probleem.Na lang zoeken de ADUM4160/ADUM3160 aanbevolen gekregen. Het niet het meest nette printplaatje dat ik heb gezien. Dat maakt gelukkig niet uit voor de werking. Want het werkt gewoon! Hij hangt nu tussen de PC en de USB kabel die naar de DAC gaat. Geen rare storende geluiden meer!
