This is dried and ground to form Khator powder. Khator powder is extensively used in Rajasthan to add sourness to any dish. It is used as a substitute for amchur or tamarind as it gives strong tangy flavor. It is rich in medical values that makes it only tangy spice that can be consumed with Ayurvedic medication where otherwise tangy flavors are restricted (even lemon). It is delicious when added to green vegetables like okra, potatoes and lentils.

Fantastic product
Very good and traditional kaachri.most people confuse themselves by saying it as aamchur.this is not aamchur this is traditional kaachri and very differnt from aamchur.just go for it those knew abt kaachri and its uses.fantastic product

I bought it for making "Thecha", the other ingredients being garlic and red chillies. The qualitiy is good and the final product turned out well.

Was like tasteless powder, didn't have the intensity of dried mango taste that one get's from amchur masala bought at the local market.
