A 3 position switch will be required if you want to turn on both color of lights indepently.

haven't tested it at night yet, but it seems like it'll be plenty bright. i don't want it to be super bright so i'm not worried about that. aluminum housing with flourescent was already mounted and i replaced it with this. slid perfectly into the taco aluminum housing. one thing i didn't notice from description was that the light itself has a button on the end. you can wire it to switches for blue and white, OR if you wire it only to white, you can use button on light to cycle between white, blue, and off. i didn't wanna run another wire, so this is how i did mine, for flexibility. one thing tho, if it's wired to white, cycling the main switch will always restart it to lighting up white when u turn it on, no matter where u left the button on the light. not exactly my preference, but beats running another wire through ttop and allows me to still have option for white or blue light.

Great product and super easy to install. Two wires and done. Replaced 2004 fluorescent light tube bar over the helm area of my boat. This model was about 2 inches shorter than my old tube, but it still fit into the custom aluminum bracket built into my t-top. Didn't even use the 'blue' wire, just connected positive and negative wires with wire nuts. The light turns on at battery ON and you can push the button on the end to cycle through White, Blue and Off. plenty of light and happy to have LED vs. Fluorescent.

Light is a perfect replacement for the florescent tube on my boat. I ran 3 wires. White works but blue only works with the button on the end. I had a custom switch cover made for white or blue overhead lights now that is useless. The switch works and send power to the light its just that the blue does not work off a switch.

So far so good. It for perfectly into my t-tops existing bracket from the factory and great replacement to the previous fluorescent light. Can't wait to try it at night. Very easy install. I just wired the black ground wire and the white main power wire. I can toggle between the white and blue light using the provided button. I didn't attach the blue wire.

Perfect fit into my existing aluminum tube, great light and and looks great.

Brightness was good but if I hooked both white and blue to same power switch only one color would work.
