Update: Amazon Resolved Issue!
Update: Product description didnt match product. This product is for kittens. I do believe it would work well for kittens, but did not for my 15lb Maine Coon. Called Amazon Customer Service and they resolved the issue. They are supposedly working on updating product description. THANK YOU, AMAZON! **** I applied the topical solution exactly as directed by parting his hair and putting it on his skin. There was no decline in the number of fleas after the first application. I decided yesterday to apply a second dose seeing as he is almost 15lbs. Zero decline in fleas and he's scratching constantly and meowing. He's an indoor cat that got out once. Bedding was treated and still this product has NOT worked for me. I would ask for a refund, but I've used two applications. Maybe I got a bad batch. IDK, but at this point, I would NOT recommend. ***See Update.

It works.
Plain and simple it works as well as name brand at a large savings. One thing my cats appreciate (and so do I) is the small single dose size for all cats. My cats range from a 5 month old rescued kitten to and old and very large and heavy but not fat neutered male at eighteen pounds. He hated to sit still for the higher volume doses amazon used to sell for large cats, but he tolerates the quick squeeze and done of the new product. Both of my outdoor cats are sociable, don't mind going to the vet, but the older formula was hated. After I dosed them they would disappear for two days, and often one had slight hair loss at the application site. This newer product is a small dose, and although both cats took off after I treated them, they were both back in a few hours and as sociable as ever. No hair loss or apparent irritation on any of six cats, two outside and four inside. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Has NO effect on fleas...**DON'T BOTHER**
One of our cats had a flea infestation and the most common product to try first is Front Line Plus. I saw Amazon Basics had a comparable product that was supposed to be the same product for a more reasonable price. The cat was having a severe allergic reaction to the fleas and was losing hair and had open sores on her back. She was pretty miserable. I ordered the product based on the apparent good rating and number of reviews without looking closely at the actual reviews. that was a mistake. I got the product and applied it as directed. I waited for 24 hours and kept an eye on the flea activity on her bare spot. After 24 hours, there was no effect on the fleas at all, and they just kept getting worse. I thought maybe it was just taking more time to start working. I kept monitoring the flea activity, and 48 hours, then 72 hours, then a full week passed with no change at all. I thought I had maybe not applied enough directly to her skin, or there was an issue with the dose I used, so I actually re-treated her early after about a week, and was very careful to get it all on her skin while applying it while she was sleeping. Another week passed and the fleas just got worse. We have two other cats in the household and they started having fleas show up on them, and all three cats are indoor cats that have had no flea issues in their lifetime (10 years+). I treated the other two cats with the same product, was very careful to get it all on their skin, and the results were the same after a week. The fleas just increased in number and there was not a single dead flea to be found when combing. I ended up having to get a different topical treatment and Capstar pills to treat the adult fleas. The Capstar worked like a charm and fleas were dropping off and dying after 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not sure if the company that makes this product for Amazon is having issues with quality control, dosing, or what, but I'll never try their brand flea products again. Buyer beware.

It won't work
This is the second time I purchased and apply it to our kitties. Neither time it work and the cats continued to have fleas, whether the same day or several days later. Bad to the point that instead of one month intervals we did it two weeks later. This product, although less expensive, is absolutely worthless.

Works Well And Saves Money
I've used the two more expensive top spot products on my many cats (1 - 5) and even more dogs (5 - 9) for well over a decade with satisfactory results. I saw this a while back and decided to try it on my one current cat. He's a senior, former feral, who has access to both a fenced in "catio" and the outside world beyond, although lately he spends most days sleeping on my bed and most nights, well, sleeping on my bed. This product is admittedly a tiny bit more difficult to use than the more expensive ones but if you own a pair of scissors and have enough patience to apply it carefully and correctly (as in, to the skin not on top of the fur) it works, for us, just as well as the top name brands. Of the only two ticks I have found on him was dead and the other was attached to him two or three days after the day I had missed his dose. I give this product six out of five 🤩 stars.

I really recommend this flea medicine.
I love this flea medicine. It works great. It doesn’t irritate my CAT skin. It keeps the fleas away and kills the ones that are on her. It smells like a normal flea medicine.

It’s definitely works -just use it correctly!
Great for our indoor cat who has a pup for a brother and very similar to another well known brand. Has a slight smell upon application, which could be off-putting to some, but nothing too bad. Our boy has been flea-free all year round thanks to this stuff! Make sure to apply monthly (every 30 days) for best results, as I see a lot of people saying it doesn’t work! Flea medicine doesn’t work if fleas have already infested your animal and much stronger products and procedures need to be taken when that happens!
