a bit cheap
A little bit on the cheap side, specifically the plastic window on the barrel, feels like it will crack easily. But the flashlight is bright. I think its a more of 10-15$ flashlight than 19.99

Lightweight, pocketable & an amazing LED flashlight!
The SAFE:BRIGHT flashlight, simply put is truly outstanding! I’ve used it daily for walks with my puppy, plus in my oversized backyard (60' W x 125' L) for approximately two months now and every time I’ve used it, I’m thrown back by the luminosity of the flashlight. The performance has been flawless and its extremely bright for such a portable LED flashlight that fits in your hand/pocket and its lightweight as well due to the fact of its anodized aluminum body. SAFE:BRIGHT has designed this flashlight with the user in mind and with the 3-in-1 different light options, plus included batteries this flashlight gets 5 stars and here’s why.PACKAGING// SAFE:BRIGHT has taken a simple approach to how they've packaged the flashlight. You’re greeted with a solid black box that uses magnets to keep it closed. On the outside, SAFE:BRIGHT still keeps it simple and just a few bits of information. Once inside the box, you’re presented with the welcome card and warranty information The main attraction, the LED flashlight, plus included batteries reside in a nice gray soft foam material to keep everything in its place.FUNCTIONALITY// The LED flashlight’s body is aluminum and feels very solid in the hand. Its extremely portable and with just one button for all three modes; you’ll be using the flashlight in seconds. Due to the fact its LED, the flashlight is super bright and once you start using the flashlight its hard to go back to anything else. Overall, I’d say the distance it shines in mode one is over 40 feet wide. I have an oversized backyard and it handles the yard very well at night. For instance, if I were to use two SAFE:BRIGHT flashlights, it’d definitely almost light-up the entire yard and it's better than the LED floodlights I have installed outside, which were expensive. The flashlight also has a magnetic base that, I can see being helpful in those emergency situations when mode 2, White comes in handy. And don’t forget the Red (blinking) LED mode that is definitely easy to recognize at night, especially if you’re stuck on the side of the road. Overall, you’re really getting three flashlights in one.FINAL IMPRESSIONS// This is my third LED flashlight I've ever used and compared to the first one I was using in the past the SAFE:BRIGHT flashlight is 100x lighter, more portable, stronger and overall a pleasure to use. I really do enjoy the fact the LED flashlight I ordered is blue, so it stands out from the pack. The flashlight has weather resistant properties, so you’ll always be confident it works in those emergency situations in which it really counts. Its been raining here off/on in Texas, so no problems handling the outside during this time. I mainly use it at night for my dog and I feel extremely safe knowing this flashlight sees everything in our path, plus a lot more due to the fact its LED. I’d definitely put this SAFE:BRIGHT LED flashlight on your wish list and I know you won’t be disappointed! Rating…is a perfect 5/5 stars!!!Note, I did receive this product on behalf of SAFE:BRIGHT for an honest consumer experience and everything in my review is my honest opinion and usage of the flashlight since I’ve received it. I truly do love this LED flashlight.

Lights up your face
Overall a nice light, not too heavy or bulky. Best part is the magnet at the end so you can attach it to your car. Two notes:- the 'gift box set', which comes with a box and 3 batteries, is about $6 more than the 'plain flashlight' (Jan 2015: $19 v.s. about $12)- a big irritation (to me) is that because the long 'broad area' light is located on the top of the light, and because you have to scroll thru each of the 3 light functions (spot, broad, red flashing) to turn it off, you get hit it the eyes with a very bright light every time you turn it off. Yes, you could eliminate this problem by rotating the on/off push button so it (and the broad light) face the ground, but for me it is more intuitive to have the on/off switch on top so that's how I hold it.

Good for intended use...but could be better.
I brought 4 of these for my two teenage kids, my wife and myself to keep in the car. I was surprised to see that the beam does not have a focus adjustment (unless I'm missing something) and the button is oriented in line with the "flood LED's" which is facing you when you turn it on to that function...bright lights come on right in your face which can temporarily affect your vision, especially at night when your eyes are adjusted. It is handy and multifunctional just the same and good for what I intended it to be which is for emergency vehicle situations...so I got what I paid for. One other thing that should be pointed out is that the product picture depicts a wrist strap and my flashlights, although neatly packaged, did not have a wrist strap.

Lightweight and practical LED flashlight for car emergencies and more
Love my new flashlight! I was looking for a car flashlight to keep on hand in case of emergencies and I love that this has three really useful settings. The first is your typical flashlight setting, and then the second setting turns on the body of the flashlight, which is genius! I love that you can lay it on any surface, have well lit area and have two hands free - it's really practical. The third setting is a red flashing light which is great for emergencies. The thing that I love the most is how lightweight and sleek it is (I've had some flashlights in the past that are just too bulky and heavy to carry around, especially when you need the use of one or both hands). It's very portable and fits well next to the driver's seat of my car. Also, I had a question about the flashlight so I contacted the seller via the email address included in the packaging and they responded quickly and were very helpful - great customer service. Bonus: my toddler was able to operate it and gave it her stamp of approval as well. Couldn't ask for more!

Decent Flashlight. Not the best.
It's okay. It had better work when needed as I've put one in my wife and daughters cars. The light could be brighter and have a variable focus But it's got the warning flasher which is nice. It does have a magnet, which is nice too sometimes. Hopefully the battery will last in storage for a very long time.

The CREE regular flashlight really is bright. If you use index finger to turn on/off instead of thumb you don't get blinded. It's also nice that each press of the button changes the mode instead of intermediate stops in the off position. That means every time you turn it on you start with the regular flashlight and three quick clicks turns it off. The magnet is pretty strong; it easily stuck to the side of a propane tank (no worry about scratching car paint for a test).Since my previous review I've purchased 5 of these flashlights, including a couple as gifts. One of them had a broken switch after a couple of years and it was promptly replaced with a brand new one. The newer model is really bright, has a zoom and a "smart" switch. Very happy!
