It Cosmetics Tightline Waterproof Black Primer Eyeliner Mascara

Bought 2 IT Cosmetics Waterproof Tightline mascaras on a recommendation. (One for home and one for my purse). Pros: deep black mascara, and very tiny brush allows you to get every lash even the one near the inner corner of your eyes. Cons: while it is waterproof, my experience is that you can get the same level of performance from a drug store brand, example, CoverGirl Waterproof mascara in the thin blue tube. But my personal con is in the value for money and packaging. At $25/tube I was expecting more product and a creamier, more robust formula, more similar to the IT Superhero mascara formula. But the annoying thing for me was the packaging. A standard mascara tube has the wand inserted in the smaller top section and the bottom larger section holds the product. The IT Tighline mascara tube is set up just the opposite, so when you unscrew the tube, the wand is in what is normally the larger bottom section and the product is in what you would typically expect to be the smaller top section in a standard mascara, the result is there is very little product in the tube. I've had this item about 1 week, using it every day, and it is already drying out. Dissapointing, especially since I use other IT products which are wonderful. Thanks for chance to comment.

I LOVE this mascara. I have used a lot of different mascaras over the years, with varying degrees of satisfaction (Clinique, MAC, Benefit, Blinc, to name a few). Everyone has their own desired look, and for me, I would like a mascara that gives me a little length and definition, but could still pass as 'natural' and not make me look heavily made up. I find that a lot of mascaras don't build length or are too thick, which is not what I'm after. I usually use up product and make it work for me until I move on to the next one to try. I was skeptical about this mascara when I looked at the wand in the pictures, but some reviewers convinced me to give it a try. OMG. This mascara is PERFECT. I can get super close to the lash line, it gives me just a little length, individually coats the lashes, and it doesn't run or smudge. I love this so much I turned around and bought a second one out of fear that they would stop making it the moment they figured out I had found my go-to, perfect mascara. For those that want a really heavy, thick application, you could probably do layers.

I have purchased this item before and it worked great! This time however, it was not the same product sent AND it was EMPTY! There was no mascara in the tube at all! Notice the writing on the tube does not say "waterproof" anywhere and the brush is completely clean. Extremely disappointed. Hopefully the email I sent gets a response and the correct product is shipped out.

I have used this product for years. I use it on my lower lashes for color because the brush is really small and it doesn't come off on my skin below my eyes. It comes right off with an oil based makeup remover. I use Maybeline. I cannot recommend it enough! And it lasts quite a while.

This is amazing!!! When I first saw tiny mascara brush? I thought it wouldn’t be worth a flip. But upon the first stroke, it’s hooked me! I’ve been using only this for last two years. It’s even Snorkle friendly. No smeared mascara or flaking. It wipes off easily with just a drop of remover (or coconut oil) is what I use. This brush separates and lengthens great and tight lines with amazing ease! Try it! You’ll never use another mascara.

I love a narrow brush. Sadly this mascara, while having a really narrow brush, just doesn't hold up with daily use. There isn't alot of product in the tube (long part of tube is brush handle) so I have to purchase more often then I prefer. Also, it smudges, alot. Not like, I did this smokey look on purpose - but more like, I have on cheap mascara look. Bummer.Also, the few times I've used this mascara and using two separate tubes, I got eyes infections both times. This is not the product for me.One positive....its easy to remove (well, whats left on my eyelashes after is smudges).

I love IT products and they are usually excellent. However, the only thing good about this is the wand. The mascara does not hold a curl. At all. My lashes actually got straighter as I was applying the mascara, even after curling with a heated lash curler. I expect a waterproof version of mascara to hold a curl, but this failed. I will repurpose the wand to use with an actual waterproof mascara.

The product itself is good. I like the brush more than the product though. Also my neighbor ordered a smaller one that cost a lot less and I ordered the full size one....that's a joke really! The only thing that is full size is the top, not the tube where the product is. I feel like I was ripped off and will not order again. I will not deal with a company that does business this way. What a shame and shame on them!!!
