Got the two pack, very nice for a house warming gift (I heard salt is a good luck gift)

I just bought this salt from Whole Foods. Today. It was sealed. I opened the container to finish some eggs. My husband noticed the taste and strength difference from the previous package of Celtic Sea Salt that I had purchased. I took a literal pinch from the container and didn’t see anything other than salt when cooking. AFTER we finished eating (of course), I show my husband the container and his eagle eyes spotted something dark. He started rotating the salt container to shift the salt around and lo and behold there were some surprises. A big bug, a small potato looking bug (didn’t make it into the photo but was in the container) and some stringy knotty thing (hopefully not a leg) we think is from the sea. My husband dumped the entire container of salt out onto napkins and sure enough we saw the surprise additions. For near $10, I don’t want bugs. This company says they have a hand process and work in small batches. I’m questioning the cleanliness of their process. I’m just grateful we didn’t eat these and they were found. We threw the salt out which felt terrible to waste it but who knows what kind of bugs they were or if there were any eggs laid, didn’t want to take the chance. Be careful with your batches and maybe consider transferring yours to a different vessel so you can sift through. But hopefully your containers are ok.

I bought this for years. The price increased 100%. A shame

Arrived opened; salt everywhere. Happened twice. Will NEVER buy this again.

This arrived with the entire contents emptied into the inside of the shipping envelope. The lid was off. Super disappointing.
