Mens Nano Puff Hoody

I wasn’t sure about buying this without seeing it first but with Amazons great return policy I thought go for it, and I’m glad I did. I purchased this in forge grey as I was attracted to the shiny finish being a bit different to plain old black or navy, although I’ve since seen the orange finish and that looks great too, and seems to be one of the colours for men’s outdoor coats this season. Firstly I was surprised at just hie thin the jacket is and how incredibly warm it is. This makes it ideal for very cold weather but also worn open in autumn weather it keeps you nicely warm. I wore this whilst clearing snow off the drive during the recent snowfall and was never even slightly cold. Being so thin it is packable into its own inside pocket, which zips up and then has a small hook so you can clip it onto a rucksack or bag and it doubles as a small travel pillow. I’ve worn it 8n the rain and it repelled the water very well, although I’d not want this on it’s own in very wet weather, but being thin you can put a Patagonia torrent shell or similar over the top for ultimate warmth and waterproofing. The hood it also very tight fitting as it is designed to go under a winter sports helmet, which means it is great at keeping out the cold. There is also a drawstring at the botton, 2 zip pockets on the sides to keep you hands warm and a zip inside pocket. The jacket also has a hook on the inside so you can hang it on a coat peg. All in all everything I expected and wanted from this jacket. Top work Patagonia and goes without saying the manufacturing quality is top notch as always. Only point to note is that the outer layer is a ripstop fabric but very thin, so don’t expect this to stand up to brambles, hedges etc as a heavy cotton jacket would, but for out and about at 10 degrees and less this is perfect.

Just received my jacket and as soon as I opened the plastic packaging I could smell it. ITS BEEN PRE-OWNED the smell of Body Odour is disgusting...!!There is stains on the front and around the the collar you can see that it's starting to ball up from ware... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. So disappointing.

Very warm for the extremely light weight. Ideal as a mid layer in more extreme conditions or great on its own in milder dry weather. The fit is excellent and has a good amount of give and the hood is a good snug fit too.

Great styling looks fab not big & bloatie However this XL fitted me tight but then the XXL I this version was too big & puffy, I have other Pat stuff in2xl & the fit is perfect I also have XL jackets that fit well I’ve spoke to Patogonia about indifferent sizing but who knows who cares! so it’s a case of if you’re in between sizes then be sure to try both.Recomended

Love it!

Very compact, light, warm jacket over a wide range of temperatures. Great on its own or if extremely cold as part of a clothing layering system. Very well made it's been everywhere with me since purchase from riding my bike in freezing weather to birding in Arizona. It's the first item to go in my day sack. Surprisingly windproof and showerproof given its lightweight construction.
