Original Gourmet Lollipops, Bubble Gum (Pack of 30)

So I think anyone who goes through my records know I spent an insane amount of money buying these lollipops from this company. (I also buy the less expensive but generic ones from my local store.) So I feel like I know what I'm talking about. Well, what do I know? They're suddenly smaller! How do I know for sure? These lollipops were always a challenge to open for me due to my arthritis. I use a special tool to shred the plastic and I had to catch it just at the right spot to get it open. Except now the plastic looks like it belongs on a much larger product. How can that be? I'm paying the same but getting less?No. Not again. I woould rather buy the generic ones and get what I paid for.

This is my first time buying Original Gourmet Lollipops. I ordered the bubblegum flavor, and the blue raspberry flavor. My favorites are the Couture Pops from Sugar Factory, but $25 for a 3 pack of refills for their Couture Pop Handles is prohibitively expensive. I read a bunch of reviews, and it sounded like Original Gourmet was the best value around. It also sounded like the flavor issues had been resolved.The blue raspberry shipped separately, so I received them yesterday. I was so disappointed with the complete lack of flavor, that I almost cancelled the order for these bubblegum flavored ones. I’m soooo glad I didn’t though. These taste amazing! Spot on bubblegum flavor! I’ll absolutely be ordering these again. I guess now I should contact Amazon and Original Gourmet to find out what can be done about the blue raspberry flavor duds. They have a very faint raspberry ketone scent when you sniff them, and that weird aldehyde aftertaste common to artificial raspberry flavorings, but the taste isn’t there.Anyhow, that’s neither here nor there, as these bubblegum ones are what this review is about, and these bubblegum flavored lollies do not disappoint! I was going to break down crying like a small, exhausted child if these hadn’t actually tasted of bubblegum, or tasted of anything but sugar. I’m glad that didn’t happen, because nobody wants to see that!

Update 1/19/19: I thought the last batch wasn’t great since the color was pale, the outer part wasn’t as hard as usual, many were broken & some even had a really rough texture to them. These are pink (good) but HAVE NO BUBBLEGUM FLAVOR AT ALL (bad), JUST SICKLY SWEET (very bad)!!! It really bugs me that you cannot choose to give no stars because these certainly deserve NO STARS! I threw them out after calling Amazon for the 4th time about these lollipops & my address on my Subscrice & Save. I did order these from Original Gourmet’s own website so fingers crossed they are okay. If not I’ll be stuck with dum dums, I think that’s correct, Gluten Free bubblegum flavored little lollipops.Original Headline & Review: No Subscribe & Save plus bad batch too many times now. I can go through quite a few in my household so I put them on subscribe & save. 3X I have called Amazon because they will deliver to me at the regular price but not on Subsribe & Save as “my address is undeliverable“ & I still have NO resolution! Amazon is steadily going downhill.Additionally, I agree with the rest of the reviewers about the BAD BATCH of lollipops with basically everything off about them; color, taste texture or broken. The 2 stars are for when they were good which I can only hope they fix.

OGL had the best tasting bubble gum lollipops across the board. The last batch I received in June 2020 lacked that distinct old time bubble gum flavor I so looked forward to. If you can call sweet a flavor then that's how I would describe the flavor of this batch of lollipops; just sweet with no distinct flavor in any direction. So very, very disappointed.

This is exactly what I wanted! They taste great. For $15, it's a great price. All 30 lollipops were included. They're also the same size as the kind that you find in stores. Very happy with my lollipops!

Before I bought these I read several reviews that mentioned flavor. I was hesitant because many of the reviews were not favorable, but it's Amazon, right? So if I got weak flavored lollies I could return them. Happy to say, they taste just like the ones I have bought in stores and I am totally satisfied.

I got a bad batch. They are very pale light pink with little bubblegum flavor. Just very sweet. I asked for a replacement which Amazon is sending at no charge. Usually these pops in the past were great tasting.Update: new pops didn't taste good either.Update: tried ordering a third time and still got a stale batch of bubble gum lollipops.

This was my first time getting these lollipops in this flavor and I loved them.Some bubble gum flavoring comes off really strong and makes the taste hard to handle. That wasn't the case here. It has a wonderful taste that is neither too strong nor too weak.Unlike a lot of suckers these do not cut your tongue or mouth. It is smooth all the way to the finish. They really do take about an hour to finish, sometime more. Whenever I'm feeling snacky or need my candy fix I can go to these wonderful delights.They come packaged in a way that none of them are broken. It was really nice to find that they were all perfect.My last favorite thing is that the stick in plastic not paper. I hate eating a sucker or lollipop and getting a mouth full of stick. These do not have this problem.I would for sure recommend these.
