Great stuff. It does cut cleanly. Good size for a few HDMI, network, Power, and VGA cords.
The biggest things I put through this 1-inch size was a regular US 120V 3-prong power cord, plus a VGA cable. I staggered those two ends a couple inches apart and didn't have any problem inching them through a few foot run between PC and wall. It looks way nicer than zip-tied cables! Plan ahead and don't forget the USB webcam or Audio wire or whatever. I didn't need VGA but I put one through just so I'd never have to take it apart later, and if I want to remove it I'll just cut off an end rather than un-stretch it.You have to push, not pull, like a "Chinese Finger Puzzle" toy. The more diameter of cables you end up having inside this, the less it will stretch out so you have to guesstimate a little before you decide how long to cut it so you can stuff your cables, or else you could just feed your wire most of the way before cutting and then cut it once most of the cable is pushed through. The stock end where it was melted had to be stretched open, and once the cables are in it I don't see how you could really melt the ends again safely, so if I wanted really clean ends I would add some heat shrink rather than trying to melt this directly.

Overall, the product works well for cable management. However, I do have a couple of notes for prospective buyers:1) While it is *possible* to fit a DVI cable head through do not expect to do so easily. It took me a ridiculously long time to get mine through. Ultimately, if you are concerned that diameter may be an issue fork up the extra for the split version.2) The ends will fray like crazy if you do not crimp them somehow. Not so much a negative, just something that is good to know.

Perfect Product
I found this braided sleeve very easy to use. Heated the ends with a small flame and it stops shredding apart. Great for keeping small wiring together instead of wire ties.

Not the correct diameter.
This is supposed to be 1" in diameter. This stuff is nowhere close to that. It's not even 3/4". It does expand but the opening does not and then it wouldn't be the correct length.

Best Quality Braid Purchased Period
This 1" Sleeve, by Techflex, is at least the fourth brand of sleeve I've purchased through amazon within ~ 18 months, all costing relatively same. It's weight, texture, smell, ease of application reminds me of mil-spec braid used to protect wiring/cables of aircraft electronics. It's a mirror image of it.Its ends don't unravel like others I've used, and, despite branded "1-inch" I 'inch-wormed' it over several 1.5" cable weaves with ease.Top quality braid rendering highly professional results. My 'project car' is looking awesome; I will be buying more Techflex of different diameter. This is the good stuff and wager is/near mil-spec ... Definitely Recommend.Kyle ain't a lapdog

It's easy to cut yes but fray's even easier after it's ...
Definitely took a couple of tries to get 6 cables (1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, 3 USB, and 3.5mm headphone cable) into this. It's easy to cut yes but fray's even easier after it's been cut. I tried to melt the end's on a small test piece but no luck, heat shrink might be a better option, I currently have a velcro cable strap holding it down.

I should have listened to the advice
I was told several times to buy the split line, but this was cheaper and what I wanted.....after spending hours threading my cables through...I got stuck 3/4 of the way and needed to make a change....took another 20 minutes cutting it open and tossing it in the garbage...bottom line...if you are using XLR microphone cables...get the split stuff.

Great quality cable sleeve; just a bit expensive.
I'm using this in my car to tidy up the wires in my stereo installation. It certainly did the job of making my work look professional and uncluttered. The mesh material seems durable, but given my application I can't tell you if it will hold up to extreme conditions. The mesh does fray a little when you cut it, but I don't think it's possible for mesh to be 100% resistant to this. You can however, melt the ends, and the minimal amount of fraying you do get becomes a non-issue.In conclusion, this product met my expectations. My only gripe is that the price tag is awfully high. But, like many things, I suppose you get what you pay for.
