Very sturdy and smooth rolling
I put these wheels on my old work bench in order to more easily move it around. They are fairly easy to install using the template provided. These wheels work very wel! I love the ability to raise the bench about 3/4” to easily move it then lower it back to the floor for stability. It’s all done with a foot. Wish I had come across these wheels years ago.

Makes table saw much easier to move around
I used these on my table saw. The provided screws are wood screws so used my own bolts. So far they work great, making the saw easily moveable. Construction of brackets and wheels seems to be robust and sturdy; time will tell. One aspect that was greatly appreciated is that everything is assembled with nuts and bolts. No rivets or press-fit connections that eventually work loose. This made it easy to disassemble and measure and mount only the brackets before putting everything back together.

Great value and worked very well to move workbench
I was always moving my one workbench around and decided to try these casters. I really like these. It fit my application and now makes it so easy to move the bench. They are very sturdy - I looked at some others and these hold more weight than I needed but I was drawn to them.Only thing I would caution folks is when using the template to mount, make sure you do NOT put upside down. I see (or checked/tried) hole pattern and the bottom holes on brackets are different from top. It was easy to mark and install. I did however mark the bottom hole pattern on the bench leg after I centered it on the leg, then pre-drilled holes and mounted bracket. Then drilled pilot holes for top part of the mount and used screws provided. Worked very well. For company - future updates I would apply a means to attach each wheel to a bar or wood bar in order to raise both casters at the ends.... I found a place on youtube whereas someone did that and it looked really to use versus one at a time. Depending on the users application this configuration with a bar would be easy for heavy instances. All in all, great purchase.

Reasonable for the price
Prior to purchasing these casters, I read a lot of reviews for this product. There seemed to be a common thread related to the failure of the mounting screws. This was useful information. My approach to mounting the casters was to drill a pilot hole using a 5/32 -inch drill bit, which is slightly oversized, to minimize drag on the screw. I also made sure to drill the pilot hole deeper than the screw length so that the entire travel length of the screw was within the pilot hole. I also used a standard Phillips screwdriver rather than a drill driver to insert the screws. I used 4 screws per mount, even though I have a relatively light workbench. The supplied template worked fine for locating the screws. I was able to mount the casters using the screws provided without any of the screws breaking. There was also a common concern regarding the stability of the casters. The primary complaint was that the casters would collapse while moving the workbench. I have not had that problem moving my bench across a concrete floor. However, I can see how that might be a problem moving over an uneven surface such as an asphalt driveway that's not as smooth as a concrete floor. The casters do not seem to be that firmly locked in the down position. Overall, I am satisfied with these casters. Installation was relatively easy, and so far, they've worked fine.

Perfect for My Application
I use an old metal office desk with a wooden top as a workbench. I had bought screw in wheels to replace the foot studs those type of desks have but the holders for those studs are small and they popped out when trying to roll the desk or applying weight. In come these beauties which I attached on the inside of the bench and they worked great. I had to use different bolts than the screws that came with it, but I had those laying around. Very happy with the way this turned out. Now I can roll the bench around AND lower it to the ground when using rather than locking wheels. Much more stable.

Nice wheels
I used these wheels on my heavy kitchen island. They work well, but they were tricky to install. The retractable foot pedal was easy, but trying to install the wheel was the most difficult part. There isn't enough room to get any tools but the cheapie wrench they include, which works, but there is nothing to stop the bottom part from turning. So I spent a lot of time turning the wheel in a circle and not tightening the bolt. If the collar around the wheel had some edges to it, it would be easy to hold with a wrench. But it doesn't... So plan to spend some time installing those tricky wheels. Once they are on your island or workbench, you'll be happy though.

wheel orientation is important when "raising"
These are pretty decent for under $50. One thing that isn't obvious is that when you push the lever to "raise" the platform, the wheel really needs to be facing the bracket (as opposed to away which makes it an inch or two further out and really hard to lever. Facing the bracket, its decent and smooth. I don't really want to be thinking about wheel orientation, i wanna step on the lever and roll... but I think thats a bad idea (and may not even be possible, i tried, the forces were too great so I stopped and reoriented the wheel).Another thing that kinda bugs me after the fact is when you're not riding on the wheels, they rest on the ground. Some other raise/lower caster designs the caster is off the ground when in the not rolling position.installation wasn't too hard, the template was very nice. The directions say to put 4 screws in per bracket, but mine included 6 extra screws and 2 "spare" screws meaning you can put a screw in each of the 6 holes per bracket (3 top 3 bottom).
