1 gal Minwax 13333 Clear Polycrylic Water-Based Protective Finish Satin

Great product. Easy application. Good protection. Using to coat T&G flooring. First gallon opened and leaked all over my porch. Destroyed every tv ing in the box with it. Not the products fault just the packaging. Very surprised it doesn’t come with clips to keep the lid on, several bags to keep contained in case of lid popping off. I was sent a replacement and a full refund. 2nd gallon no problems.

Easy to apply with brush or sponge (I used sponge). Dries very fast. Apply it properly, and assume you wont retouch it as you don't want to go back over it too much as it dries. Milky colored liquid that dries to completely clear. Its also a very runny, watery finish that could be tricky to apply on vertical surfaces so keep that in mind. Work it evenly and follow the instructions and you wont have any issues. No issues with odor of any kind. Can easily be used indoors without worry about killer fumes, and cleanup is a breeze with soap and water.

Works fine. Satin finish is correct.

I just used the Minwax Polycrylic to put three coats of clear sealant on a screen that I bought from Amazon. The screen had been treated with some kind of strong-smelling, extremely toxic chemical, possibly formaldehyde, and the odor did not fade. I had already thrown away the packaging materials so I couldn't very well return it. I was getting a sore throat from breathing the fumes and had to sleep on the porch (lucky it was summer). I applied three heavy coats of Minwax and after it dried thoroughly, the screen did not have any odor. Even though it is water-based, the Minwax does have a strong odor when it is wet, and it made me a little nauseous while I was putting it on - but not nearly as toxic as the stuff it was covering up. The brush-cleaning is easy, as you just use water. It's basically liquid plastic, so I'm not too happy about it going down the drain, because I don't think the water reclamation plant can get it back out, so it's basically going back into your drinking water. I washed my brushes in a very small quantity of water and put it in the trash, which goes to a landfill. Not an ideal solution, but the best I could think of. The moral of the story is to buy an eco-safe product in the first place that has not been treated with harsh chemicals, and then you won't need to seal it under three coats of liquid plastic. However, if you have need of such a product, this is very easy to use and the clean-up is also easy.

This product is amazing, I purchased it hesitating because it's water based and I thought it wouldn't be as good as oil based, I was wrong, I used it on my kitchen cabinets, beds, and a table (I love renewing old furniture) and I can't describe how inlove I am, the best product I have used to top coat. My table has since had water, hot and cold plates and cups and I have 3 children and 2 dogs, so just imagine, it cleans super easy and looks like new. I applied it different ways, with foam brush, paint sprayer, and with a gauze, in my personal opinion the gauze was the easiest and cleanest way to apply, it does dry very fast so make sure you cover your area fast, this also allows you to do several coats the same day and finish your project faster. I will defenitely purchase this poly again!

Good quality and good price. Cheaper than at the hardware store.

This stuff is a nightmare to use, I spend twice as much time popping bubbles and getting rid of the foam it leaves than laying the finish. Dry time and no smell are the only positives to the stuff, don’t waste your time or money on this stuff, just get regular polyurethane or some other finish

Unfortunately the ads aren't clear enough in your information. Says it can also go over paint. Says it's crystal clear. But now it's a million dollars later and arrived. If you put it over paint it will hold a yellowing tinge! Wth! I specifically paid , for what I was to understand is a scuff proof ( hence believing floors) and CRYSTAL CLEAR. I might as well have gone round the corner and got a normal yellowing top coat for my wooden floors, and a poly spray for the painted skirting for $50. Please do better, and make it clear where it xan and where it can't be used! I actually feel robbed. I've ended up with an empty wallet and a crystal clear, scuff proof product, that is unusable!
