20V MAX SDS Rotary Hammer Drill, Cordless, 3 Application Modes, Bare Tool Only (DCH273B)

The DEWALT 20V MAX SDS Rotary Hammer Drill has become my go-to tool for heavy-duty tasks around the house. As someone who frequently tackles DIY projects, this drill has proven to be both powerful and versatile. I recently used it for drilling into concrete for a new shelving unit in my garage, and the performance was exceptional. The drill handled the tough material with ease, making the job much quicker and less strenuous. The three application modes are a standout feature, allowing for easy switching between drilling, hammer drilling, and chiseling, depending on the task at hand. The cordless design adds a layer of convenience I didn’t realize I was missing. No more being tethered to an outlet or dealing with extension cords. The battery life is impressive, providing ample power for extended use without frequent recharges. One minor downside is that it’s a bit heavier than my previous drill, but the extra weight seems to contribute to its robust build and powerful performance. The ergonomics are well thought out, with a comfortable grip that reduces fatigue during prolonged use. In essence, this DEWALT rotary hammer drill has made my DIY endeavors smoother and more efficient. Its blend of power, versatility, and cordless convenience is perfect for tackling a wide range of home improvement projects.

I bought this drill last year so I could probe for rocks before trying to drive steel t-posts 2 feet deep. It works well for that and can hammer through sediment and sandstone well enough to be able to drive posts manually. After I bought this, my M-I-L told me the threshold of her basement door needed to be replaced. I checked it out and their builder didn't attach the threshold to the concrete floor, it held loosely in place with staplesgoing into the sides of the door frame. I used a shop vac on tbe floor to control tbe concrete dust, drilled 1/4 inch pilot holes through the threshold and into tbe concrete, then 1/2 holes directly into the concrete to hold barrel type bolt anchors. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes and this drill, with good masonry bits, goes through concrete as easily as my 18v DeWalt drills through pine - seriously, it's that good!

I’m kicking myself in the rear for not buying this earlier, what a game changer!! One wall of my house is 14” pored concrete and I needed two 1-1/2 holes drilled. This drill ate through that with no problem in 10min. Have wore out two heavy duty drills with a “Hamer mode” and my patience which I gained back thanks to this drill. Worth every penny!

This drills performance surprised me. It is on par with the corded hilti drills we use at work. It is so much lighter and smoother to use as well. I think of all my battery tools of which I have many, this one is probably the most impressive by far.

With the correct bits this thing blasts thru concrete. Sds plus bits are the only drawback, I bought and had Hilti bits with 3 sides and this requires the dual slot type. Great portable and effective battery durability. I had many batteries and the tool came without one. It doesn't eat thru the battery though. I put in 22 , 4" inch deep holes on one charge.

Si hubiera que mencionar un punto a considerar, sería que, como toda herramienta de este tipo, no está pensada para demoliciones pesadas o uso extremo continuo como un martillo demoledor dedicado. Pero dentro de su categoría, cumple de forma sobresaliente. Conclusión: Un martillo perforador potente, versátil y fácil de manejar, ideal para trabajos profesionales en concreto y mampostería. Destaca por su equilibrio entre rendimiento, tamaño y funcionalidad. ¿Lo volvería a comprar? Sin duda. Es una herramienta confiable y muy completa que responde perfectamente en el día a día.

Totalmente Original, con toda la calidad de la marca, llegó en muy buen estado, y trabajar genial, para quellos que buscan un taladro para trabajos exigentes, solo necesitas conseguir une buena pila, ya que este viene sin ella, pero el costo lo valió por si solo... totalmente recomendable, se tardo un poco en llegar, unas 2 semanas, pero todo excelente.
