Egusi plant is native to West Africa. It belongs to the gourd family of plants. The seeds of Egusi are very popular throughout Africa and it is available throughout the year.

packed with darkening and rotting seeds
Although I was able to cook with this egusi, it took me 2 hours to clean and sort the bad ones from the good after opening the package. There were alot of rotten and darkened ones in the bag and after sorting and removing the bad seeds the quantity of the egusi was significantly low. Please spend some time to properly process the egusi before packaging it so that it's ready for cooking.
