DigiHero Fitbit Surge Strap, Adjustable Replacement Straps Bands Accessories for Fitbit Surge

I don't normally write reviews but following the purchase of this product I feel that I have to help point people who own surge watches in the right direction.My husband initially bought a surge watch which ended up with a blistering band, at that time there were no replacement straps available, the excellent Fitbit customer service team provided him with a replacement watch and the old was consigned to recycle bin. Last year the strap went again and he replaced it with a Blaze.When checking on line at amazon he saw this strap and decided to give at a go. He says, so far, he is not disappointed as the quality of the strap is superior to the original and is a comparison to the removable strap on the blaze.He now has a blaze that he uses as a dress watch and a surge for gym work.The strap was easy to replace and has enhanced, in his words, the best watch in the Fitbit range.

This has given my 12 month old Surge a new lease of life. Disgusted with the Fitbit customer service when my strap split (like 90% of all Surge straps), I decided never to waste my money on an expensive fitness tracker again. However, this strap has allowed me to continue wearing it and its actually better than the original, and easy to fit. OK, its a bit stiffer, but perhaps that is what was needed to prevent it splitting. Shame on Fitbit for knowingly keep selling an obviously flawed product.

I chose this strap over other cheaper ones because the metal buckle matches the Fitbit original one exactly. The others looked bulkier and angular and likely to catch on clothing more easily. This buckle is smooth and curved - just what I wanted. Yes, the plastic is stiffer than the one I was replacing but to be honest I can't remember how stiff the strap was when it was new. Anyway, it fits well and being stiffer isn't a problem.Changing the strap was fairly straightforward. The screwdriver supplied worked fine, and the scraper took off all the old glue under the old straps. The new straps are a snap-fit and took a lot of pushing to get on, but once on they are an excellent fit and there is no "gaping" on the top, which I have read is a problem sometimes as only the underside is held on with screws. I didn't need to use any glue either.There is a link to a Youtube video on the packaging, and this was fairly helpful and reassuring that I was changing it right. There is a foil antenna under one of the old straps and the video shows what to look for and how to replace it the right way round if it comes off still attached to the strap. Mine stayed attached to the watch, so wasn't a problem, but it highlighted what needed to be left on the watch and not scraped off with the old glue.Overall an excellent replacement for my old strap which was wearing through and the retaining loop had broken.

In common with other recent views, one half of this strap does not fit the Fitbit. I’ve examined the strap closely and it portion with the clasp on does not have a deep enough cavity to accept the fitbit’s ‘tongue’. Again, in common with others, I am now left with a Fitbit unit and no way to use it. I am very, very disappointed. It is not only the cost of the strap (I shall try to chase a refund) but the fact that I have about £150 worth of redundant Fitbit. The original strap was damaged and that is why I was seeking a replacement.

The strap is very good quality and is more rigid than the original which could be a better solution because the original more rubbery version seemed to cause much more sweat and hence rashing on the wrist. It's still quite comfortable to wear and I'm hoping that the more solid plastic will stop the common splitting of the strap at the buckle and where it attaches to the watch unit.The strap comes with very useful tools and a bag of screws (which I didn't use - just used the originals). It snaps into place and fits just as snugly as the original. No issues fitting the new strap.I've only had the strap for 1 month so view may change with time.

Received in a very good time, followed the YouTube instructions to the letter only to find that the watch strap doesn’t fully go all the way on so not allowing me to insert the screws to secure it in position. So now I’ve got to get rid of the watch. And wasted the money spent on the watch strap in the first place.

The strap fits perfectly and looks exactly like the original. The material is a little bit more rigid than the original strap, which actually works in my favour, but is no less comfortable. Swapping straps is easy to do and takes less than 5 minutes. No gaps or raised edges where the strap joins the watch face. Would recommend if you’re looking for a good replacement.

Bought because my original was coming un stuck. Now returning the new one as there was no way of making it fit my surge. This strap is much harder plastic to the original. I found that the small cavity in the new strap was not just deep enough to fit surge post into. So now cannot get the original back on as needs to glued in place. Now have a redundant Fitbit very disappointed will not be recommending to anyone.
