Air Hogs Helix X4 Stunt Quad Copter

This is a neat toy. I bought it for my 8 year old and he loves it. It's easy to use and a lot of fun. He mainly enjoys flying the helicopter but he also uses the truck too. You can use the helicopter separately or fly it out of the truck. The helicopter is small and can be broken if the instruction aren't followed. He has ran it into ceiling with no injury to it but it can be broken by a smaller child jerking on it.

Of all remote control toys which we have bought so far , this has been the best . Starting from opening the box , the toy is very easy to put together . The best part of the toy is the amount of control you have on the chopper using the remote . We were able to fly and land the helicopter softly multiple times . Our earlier experiences with remote controller helicopters were not so good , while they fly it was almost impossible to control them and after reaching a particular height they will just crash into ground . The only reason I gave a 4 star because of the battery life and the base set is using a AAA battery which in turns charges the helicopter battery .I wish the charging mechanism would have been , otherwise Kids simply love them .

My 10 year old son received this for Christmas. He loves it. He has learned to navigate the helicopter quite well. He has flown it every day and even with some crashes the helicopter has held up very well. Other remote control helicopters that he has had in the past have not held up to even minor crashes. He says the battery life is short, but he gets plenty of playtime with it before having to recharge it. For that reason I was going to give it four stars, but he insisted five because he enjoys it so much. Great toy and lots of fun for our whole family!One year later: This little helicopter is still going. It has been the most durable remote control item we have ever had. My son has wrecked it on multiple occasions and it's still flying!

My 8 year old son was so excited and LOVED this. He got it for his 8th birthday. It worked well for the first couple of days, but after only a few days, the helicopter no longer flies. He was so disappointed and kept recharging it, hoping that it would work later. It is intended for indoor use and was only used indoors. The propellers are quite flimsy and sustained a few dings during normal indoor play. Now the helicopter will spin but cannot get off the ground. He is much less interested in the remote control car, so after only a week, he no longer plays with this toy. Very dissapointing!!

Got two Air Hogs items this Christmas. My kid was really excited, but the day after Christmas we're returning both items because they are very flimsy and break easily. With regard to the Shadow Copter, the helicopter wouldn't fly higher than one inch off the ground and the rotors broke in less than 24 hours with normal use. The helicopter is very flimsy-made. As I helped my son take it out of the box, I wondered how long it would last... not long at all. Also, who in the world thinks of putting batteries in the controller and then using the controller to charge the helicopter rechargeable battery! How about plugging it into an electrical socket! The helicopter battery doesn't last very long either, about 15 minutes. Air Hogs has lots of great concepts, but poor products. I wish they made things sturdier. My disappointed son has opted for sturdier Lego sets instead. I'm not buying any more Air Hogs products.

My 9 yr old son saw this product and asked me to look at the Ad on line and as it looked like something new and fun i bought it for him.We received it today and getting started was easy..charging and operating as well.My complaint is that it must crash on the way to becoming a 'flying'expert and so even though it was easy to learn and manoeuvre after a couple crashes,one of the two clips holding the top two propellors came undone and continues to 'pop-off' causing the helicopter to just spin around in circles and not be able to fly.Manufacturers must design these products with a little more durability.I have bought no less than 6 Air Hogs helicopters and in the end i have always had issues with having to change the propellors etc.I urge Air Hogs to invest a bit more to make these things last...one day and now this product is more a truck being powered by a helicopter than a helicopter...the product is nice and attractive so all it needs to do now is last ....

We bought this last month for our nephew for his sixth birthday -- and he loves them! He had been going nuts each time he saw the commercial for them on TV, and when he opened the package, I think it was his favorite gift, based on his reaction.He's had the car for about a month now, and my sister-in-law says that he plays with it all the time.I'll update this if it doesn't hold up, but, for now, it's a fun gift!

My 6 year old son has been wanting this since he first saw the commercial about it. The remote is easy for him to use and the car drives well and the helicopter flies easily and charges quickly. He has not put it down since he ripped it open on Christmas morning!
