American Flag Windsock 40"

The real test will see if this windsock on the top of a 25 ft. flagpole survives the winter season. Well, it's May, the winter season is over, and so is the windsock. It was shredded in 5 months, but no other windsock has survived more than one season out on the end of our 140 ft. dock. By the way, this is NOT a TOY---it's serious tool that tells wind direction and a good sense of its strength, and helps you protect the rest of your property. We got a new one made in NJ by Annin, the flag-maker , to replace it, but I doubt it will last longer than a season. We'll tell ya next year!

In a different location, this would be wonderful. Unfortunately, the long streamers kept tangling in the arbor structure over the patio, or the whole thing would flip up onto the top. We had to re-hang it daily. It needs to be in an unrestricted space, perhaps on a pole. Love it, but can't use it.

The carabiner/clip that comes attached is weak. I replaced with a metal key ring and used a twist tie to secure to my outdoor hook. No big deal but I recommend. All is well. Colors are nice and deep and will likely last awhile before they fade. Price is right and with free shipping this is a decent value especially since I can't find in stores in my area. You see I must have one of these since a rather ratty one, that finally fell apart completely this spring, blew into my yard during a snowstorm 3 yrs ago. I fly this year round.

I have had to buy a new one of these every year for the last 3 years as they only last about 6-9 months. They are a great value, however and they look good, do not fade, and are cheap. The hanging clasp is the part that always breaks on mine.

This windsock seems to be made of good stock and the colors are strong. However, it is very poorly constructed. The streamers are falling off the body of the windsock already due to the very poor single stitching holding them on and the metal clip has already broken as well. We have had to reconstruct it so that it will last. Good material but very poor construction quality.

This is a very sturdy colorful windsock and looks very patriotic from a distance. I liked it so much I bought 3 of them and mounted them all on my front porch. When the wind blows they are very colorful. I attached a picture of how they look. For the price, they are a good buy..

The price is right, the colors attractive, but needs more attention to quality and function. The tails will unravel in a week because of cheap material with any wind at all, and the hoop design is all wrong. It needs reinforced with better material to keep from flattening like an egg, and the 3 connection cords need to be substantially shorter to keep the hoop from flipping over the top of flag pole (if that's what you use). I shortened the tails by half and then applied Fray Check glue and the material still unraveled in other places. This definitely is not for outdoor use.
