I recommend to buy the book used because is the information what is important no the condition of the book as I did. I don't have any complains of the book the information is well organized and concise for the USMLE step one and also two. I really recommend this book because you will have a broad idea of how laboratory testing, is more in detail than rapid review pathology of Goljan alone, I have this two books and the explanations for laboratory testings in clinical medicine is superior than the Rapid Review Pathology of Edward F. Goljan. The only condition of not buying this book is that you decide to stay with the minimal explanations of laboratory testing for clinical medicine in the rapid review pathology and not expand the knowledge of a more broad explanation of this book. You will have a wide idea than any other book that is been sell in the market, even thou I didn't found any book like this one that explains laboratory testing for clinical medicine, go do a search and try to find something similar because I didn't find anything else than only this book. I have enjoyed reading through this book. It is very similar to Goljan's other book, but in addition this book provides better explanations of important pathology terms, and test done to diagnose patients.If you plan to use this book during Basic Sciences, I recommend using it as a supplement to a more substantial book.If you plan to use this book to review for STEP 1 I would recommend that you use it only if you have enough time (more than a 2 months to study).

all rapid review series books are worth their weight in gold. Although not a fan of the student consult of these particular book. The test format is not to my liking. The same applies to nueroscience, histology, and behaivoral science. Although the student consult test of the rest of the other rapid review series minus are to my likely. Despite the student consutl test format I still highly reccommend this book to all medical, interns, residents, and doctors.

Don't buy both Lab Testing in Clinical Medicine and Pathology from the Rapid Review series since all of the Lab Testing info is in the Pathology edition.

Excellent charts with pathological and clinical correlation of the lab findings. Exemplar examples of types of illnesses/pathologic processes expected with each lab test.

excellent resource with clinical correlations. very similar to Goljan's pathology review but more in depth with lab tests
