Of all the books in the Cards Of Love series, The Hanged Man was one of the top 3 I wanted to read.I have read every Clarissa Wild books and her ability to give an intense, raw, dark and heartfelt romance rollercoaster makes it that you can't help but one-click blurb unread.I couldn't let go of Lillian and Hanson so I read it twice. These characters are going to rock and shock you. Their story is brilliant, dark and powerful packed into a quick novellaDual POV, past and present storyline. Clarissa is one of the authors who made me fall in love with dark romance. So good!!! I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

4 1/2 starsA quick but thoroughly intriguing read. The author has written this story in a way that will captivate the reader and keep you hooked until the last word is read. The full story isn't revealed until the end and it was shocking. I liked the book but I was troubled by a misconception (in my opinion) provided by the author. It was a well written and captivating story.

You know you're getting a high caliber book when it's a Clarissa Wild book.She can pull off a complete story in a short novella that some authors can't do in a full length book.THM is told in dual POV and before, present & after timeline.What would you do for your child? Hanson was put in that position and he did what he must. It tore him away from his family and now he will do what he must to reunite them and keep them together forever.Lillian knows she should push him away, make him leave but now that she knows the whole truth she will now do what she must to keep him safe and bring her family back together.I loved this as is but I sure wish Ms. Wild decides to turn this into a full length novel at some point. It's really that great!

WOW!!! I'm going to repeat that ....WOW!!!!!I want to climb into the mind of Clarissa Wild and discover where she comes up with these dark twisted stories. this is definitely another that I couldn't put down. She had me hooked from the minute i read the blurb. Then I started reading the book ...talk about confusing!! I kept going, couldn't put the thing down - this woman has such a way with words, she baits you, pulls you in, drags you under and BOOM!!!!Hanson and Lillian's story will have you spellbound. Both made the ultimate sacrifice for their daughter, but both have done so driven by the need to protect and by the force of love.This was such a beautiful story, heartbreaking, but shows enormous strength and the power that love has. I always love Ms Wilds books and this is one that you want more from. I would have loved it to have been 400 pages. Hanson is so gripping and intriguing. I love dark and The Hanged Man has it. Push through the beginning and be grateful. I made sure to buy my copy to re read over and over

This was a great story to read. How far would you go to save a child? This one answers that question. Riveting but too short.

This story is an emotional read. It's a story that will grip you right in the heart. It's a tale about love. A love for one another, a love for family, an unconditional love.The Hanged Man is about a parents love that's undeniable. They will do anything for the one person, that means the world to them. The choices they make is so amazing, that they don't care about the consequences. Their sacrifice, is the ultimate goal to have a better future.

I haven't read this story yet but after reading other books by Clarissa Wild (and loving everyone) I did One Click on auto pilot knowing that this one will be amazing too. The cover is what sealed the deal for me (yes I'm shallow at times). Besides the reviews others have left too, I'm certain this story will not disappoint me.

I’m a bit shocked - but found this such a compelling read. I was a little confused at first but once I got into the story I couldn’t put it down. I really wish it was a never and not a short story. Once I got going, and was invested it seemed like it ended. This story about Hanson and Lillian is dark, edge of your seat gripping but also gut wrenchingly sad. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book and purchased a copy as well
