OttLite LED Mini Flip Lite - Portable, Adjustable, Clip Light

I use it to check to see if two colors go together because I’ve found artificial light isn’t always accurate. I can check the colors at the closet without needing to carry to window (if daytime) to see colors.

Very bright light—works well.

**Please update these lights with a higher quality pressure switch.**01/06/2023 Update:My mother keeps dropping these and they were all not working/flickering (one had a burn mark by a battery terminal). In my attached images I disassembled all 3 and identified the switch as the problem in each. Pics 2 and 3 show the switch with its little contact points. I used a small flat head to pry the switch apart (it has plastic tabs) then pry the contacts outward (flared) and also used the flat head screwdriver to scrape where those contacts touch inside the switch. Now they all work again.I'm still brainstorming to figure out how to best keep these functioning for her. I added some solder to the contacts on one in hopes to thicken the contacts, decrease likelihood of poor connection.. we'll see how that holds up.Original Review:Bought for my mother. She's got bad osteoarthritis in her right hand that makes clicking a button with her thumb (like on pretty much every flashlight) difficult. This is her favorite flashlight. I know it's got some mixed reviews, but hers has been working from november of 21 to present, march of 22. She likes to flip it open to 90° and set it on her bed or herself when reading in the evening. She just likes it, and whenever she wants a flashlight, grabs this instead of her phone.

This light is very bright for it's compact size. The battery life is exceptional. Buy two!

Love the Ott lights that I have, so thought this would be great to take on vacation for artwork. Thus I did not attempt to insert batteries until 6 weeks later when getting ready to leave. It has a tiny screw that must be loosened in order to move the top to insert batteries. It says in step 2 to remove the screw, and in step 3 it says be careful not to totally remove the screw. So I turned the little screw slowly and each time I stopped and tried to see if it was loose enough to move the top up to insert batteries. Finally found a place where the top could be moved and the screw was not out. However, it was then impossible to tightened the screw. The instructions also state not to use it if the screw is not tight. After a couple hours I gave up. If the batteries cannot be inserted without causing a problem, then this should not be sold unless batteries are already in it.

My daughter bought me one of these and I liked it so much I bought one for my besties birthday. It’s amazing!!!

Just what I expected. It’s a great product but really hard to open to put the batteries in. Very hard to push down and forward.

I find it irritating to have to find a tiny screw driver to open it to put a battery in. An an appropriate screw driver is NOT included. Last time I buy them. no instructions are included, euther
