Wildlife Photographer of the Year: Portfolio 29

Somewhat of a disappointment again this year, the older collections were focused on excellence in imagery, however in recent years the focus seems to have shifted to promoting an eco message, please remember that the purpose of this collection is incredible wildlife images, not pushing an agenda.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is always mind-blowing, The images are great,and the stories behind them - long treks in the snow carrying heavy equipment, orspending months, or even years following certain animals to catch the perfect photo.I do get a little fed up with being told on every page why the species is declining, anda lecture on climate change. By all means have your say, once, in the foreword, and thenlet us enjoy the photos. It is all a bit too didactic. We know all this, without having to haveit rammed down our throats on every page.

Good condition. Could be better protected than just being in a plastic bag for delivery. These get holes in and when it’s wet the books are ruined. Wonderful series of books great photos and wonderful to keep looking at.

Some of the best wildlife photographs captured in the year. Inspiring images from around the world. Some very creative photography. We have been collecting these portfolio books each year for several years and have never been disappointed.

If you are into wildlife this is a book you have to see. Not only are the photos stunning but also the stories behind them. A joy.
