This conditioner is lacking a lot of potentially harmful chemicals, is vegan, and is not tested on animals – great! It left my hair shiny, with less frizz. But two caveats: 1) don’t use this as an everyday conditioner (only once or twice a week) and 2) your mileage may vary, but I REALLY dislike the way this smells.This conditioner is great because it doesn’t have:• Parabens (used in a lot of conditioners as a preservative, but they are xenoestrogen meaning it mimics estrogen in the body and can cause hormone disruption. Also believed it can cause reproductive/developmental issues and potentially cancer).• Phthalate (used to make scent linger – but trust me, the scent LINGERS plenty in this conditioner without it – believed it may cause same sort of reproductive/development/cancer issues as parabens).• Sulfates (used to make a foamy lather but may cause irritation if you’re like me and allergic to them, and they aren’t good for your hair – can dry out hair, dissolve keratin treatments, and fade color.I also love that this is cruelty-free (aka not tested on animals) and is vegan.The shampoo is great at detangling (I have no knots after using this which is crazy), and leaves my hair shiny and it is relaxed with less frizz and fly-aways.Seems like a miracle conditioner, no?Well it is except that it has 2 silicones as ingredients (dimethicone and amodimethicone) which initially are good at stopping breakage and removing frizz, but the problem with them is that they don’t rinse out of your hair because they’re not water soluble. So if you use this conditioner as an every day one, it can cause a buildup that actually prevents moisture from entering your hair, the opposite effect you’re looking for. You can look for a clarifying shampoo which dissolves the buildup. Or just use it once a week or so on days you want to have amazing hair day.Second, I want to give this conditioner a 5 because it makes my hair look great. But… and it’s a big but… I can’t stand the smell of it. It smells predominantly of patchouli, with undertones of eucalyptis, bergamot, floral, rosemary, and more patchouli thrown in for good measure. I know there isn’t actually any of the patchouli in it, but the mixture smells like it (hippy) to me. I barely catch any hints of the citrus in it (lemon, orange, tangerine, neroli) which are also predominant in the ingredients. This is a shame because I would love those citrus scents.The first time I used the conditioner, the scent was especially strong , even after a thorough rinse and masking it with lots of product. I was still smelling it the next day every time I moved my head and almost was going to not use it again even though I loved the way my hair looked and felt. I decided to give it a fair shake and have used it again several times over the course of a month. It’s slightly less intense now but still, ugh.So all in all, I have a love-hate relationship with this conditioner. For the price, I wish the scent wasn’t such an intense put-off to me. Your sense of smell may be weaker than mine or you may like those scents.

Well, I have discovered through this product that I don't like the scent of Sicilian Neroli - or perhaps any kind of Neroli. Thankfully, this fragrance didn't linger on my hair after it dried. Despite the strong, sharp fragrance, this conditioner works very well in moisturizing and hydrating hair. I sorely need it; my hair is coarse and chemically treated. Per the instructions, massage it into clean, wet hair and leave on for 1-3 minutes before rinsing. I left it on for 5 minutes and my hair was instantly transformed. What had been tangled and coarse was now really soft and silky. I didn't use any heat, just let it air dry and my hair was still soft and touchable. The ends looked refreshed and I have silky waves.

When I ordered this stuff, I didn't realize that if has both pachouli and geraniol essential oils in it, which I just HATE! I could not tolerate the fragrance enough to even test this, so I am sorry, but I can't tell you how it works on the hair. This stuff absolutely stinks and it's a super strong scent. YUK. I am very sad, because it actually has lots of very nice quality ingredients.

I AM IN LOVE! I honestly can’t stop raving about this conditioner. I apologize for the super long review, but please read this!!!Finally…FINALLY I have found something that detangles my brittle/frazzled/chemically damaged/hormonally devastated hair. I had my son 16 months ago and have been dealing with hormonal imbalances that have been wreaking havoc on my poor hair. Not only have I been experiencing tons of postpartum hair loss (we’re talking clumps every day, and thinning areas on my scalp), but it has also been super frazzled feeling and “rubber band-like.” I had it cut and colored about 2 months ago, but she didn’t take enough off and ended up using bleach on my already damaged ends. My hair has been snapping ever since and I literally cry every time I try to comb through it wet. Prior to using this conditioner I have tried countless different brands and treatments: leave-in conditioners, detangling sprays, deep treatment masks, etc. Even with a detangling spray I haven’t been able to comb through my hair without it snapping, breaking, and falling out.AND THEN I TRIED THIS. Whoa. Just whoa. Not only does it smell absolutely amazing (super herbal), but it actually works. My entire bathroom and bedroom still smell good! I don’t know who Philip B is, but I want to personally give him a hug and say Thank You!! I used this after shampooing my hair and using a purple toning treatment to tone my blondes (purple treatments can make your hair feel like straw, btw). I let this sit in my hair for only 5 minutes but could immediately feel my hair transform from within. It felt like butter! I rinsed it with cool water and prepared myself for the worst… I am always afraid to come through it wet. I was shocked when my comb glided through my hair with ease. No tugging, no pulling, no snapping at all. It literally feels like a new head of hair after one use. I haven’t even worn my hair down since getting it cut and colored because it’s been so traumatic trying to wash and brush it. Today is the first day my hair is down in months!! It’s shiny, full of volume, bouncy and healthy. It also smells so good. My toddler hasn’t seen my hair down very often and was so excited to practice using his comb on my hair, and I let him!! 🤗I’m not kidding when I say washing my hair has been traumatizing; I literally avoid it like the plague and just deal with using dry shampoo and washing it once a week (UGH. Horrible I know). I feel like my highlights and lighter pieces from my balayage color shine through even more than before. My deeper colors also look richer and overall my hair has so much shine and manageability it’s not even funny.At $48 this is worth every penny. I don’t need Kleenex to wipe my tears anymore!! I will be purchasing this again before it runs out. I’m also tempted to try some of the other products in his collection. Please note that I called this a “collection” because it’s exactly that… This isn’t your ordinary hair care line. This is celebrity-worthy stuff here people! I happened to notice there are some Philip B products in black bottles that are upwards of $200… And I am so tempted right now! 🤣If you struggle combing through your hair and have damaged or lackluster locks… buy this.
