Quality knives. The price is higher for a reason. Don’t go cheap when trying to get into carving. You want high quality steel knives that are sharp. It creates a better shape and easier to work with. If you are trying to pick up wood carving, this is a great entry level set.

I got this carving tools to start getting into wood carving as a hobby.I give 5 starts because these are nice set of carving knife kit.Handles on each tools are smooth and the curbs on each give nice grip.Blades are sturdy and sharp enough so that I can curb the wood blocks easily.Bag that comes with the tools allows me to carry them around without poking through.

I've been using these tools for a month or two now. My first foray into the world of spoon making..... and I am ridiculously hooked on this hobby. I have since ordered a couple more carving tools. I highly recommend this set.AND.... I highly recommend if you try them, Always wear Sharp Proof gloves!! It is extremely dangerous. but some welders leather arm protectors also.

I ordered this product to try my hand at making wooden utensils. I received the wood carving set in less than 48 hours from the time my order was placed! This is a very professional carving set! The knives are extremely sharp and have a great feel to them. Good grip and durable steel. Happy i went with these. I've bought some others before that didn't last. The cheaper ones never do. It's worth the extra money to have the high quality steel and sharpness.

Very sharp. Work well until curved bowl blade snapped. Too expensive to be breaking.

Great quality for the price!1) the knives are extremely sharp & appear to be very well made.2) I’ve been to a local woodworking shop and if you try and piece this together with thestroop & knives it will be considerably more money and not come with the handy storage roll, which is sturdy.3) for someone taking this on as a new hobby, I think this is absolutely the way to go, it’s quality for the price and the basic tools to get you started.

The tools are beautiful, well constructed and they allow the beginner they were purchased for room to expand into greater levels of skill. This was a great gift!Our teen son began whittling with a pocket knife and he loved these tools!
