Broken RJ45 Connector Solution (5 pcs in Black, Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Clear Colors)

For those of you who in the Ham Radio Community, these inexpensive connectors are very common to attach a hand microphone to the radio body. For example, my Icom IC-703 radio has an attachable HM-103 microphone that uses this connector but during use, the cheap plastic clip part broke off after snagging on something. After Watching videos showing the process to put on a whole new connector, you had to buy new connectors, specialty crimping tool, and start the tedious task. Thought I would try this simple product. It worked perfectly on my connector with the broken plastic clip. Once installed it seems to hold very well to the connector, and it attaches and detaches from the radio easier than new. So try this first if you don't want to put a whole new connector on. Also, if you look closely, this unit also has a smooth angular clip that appears not stick out and catch on things only to get bent off and broke. So this seems an improvement over what normally comes with the stock hand microphone. Two pictures have been uploaded.

Been using them for about a month and they absolutely work. I had a few issues getting it to stay in the socket at first. But when i finally got it in and got it to stay in I have had zero problems! I am playing World of Warcraft with out having the cable fallout. I highly recommend this! I have uaeed just the ne but the other 4 are being kept safe just in case.

I'm very surprised, I thought it wouldn't help but it solved my issue. I'm so glad saved me on having get a new cable. I use on my PS4 and it does sometimes quickly disconnects but then reconnects on its own, very rare. This was little more than I wanted to pay but there weren't many other options. In my home our internet router is in the living room. A few years ago I had painstakingly wired a 50 foot Ethernet cable from our living room to my bedroom where I have a PC, a Tivo and a television with an Amazon Fire Stick -- all of which require a fast, stable internet connection in a location where the wireless signal is weak. Then a couple of months ago the clip broke off the Ethernet cable in my bedroom where I had it plugged into a splitter for my various devices. It was just plain not practical to rewire a whole new 50' cable through walls, etc. I had tried all sorts of things to hold the cable connection in place using everything from a matchstick to putty, and nothing held it in place for very long. Then I spotted this "RJCLIP - Broken RJ45 Connector Solution." I couldn't believe that somebody had come up with such a simple, elegant and inexpensive solution to the exact issue I was having. It took me literally less than 30 seconds to connect the clip and plug it into my splitter... and it works absolutely perfectly to hold the Ethernet cable in place with no signal loss at all. It's a lifesaver! It's rare to find such an easy solution to a seemingly large problem. I'd give this little gizmo ten stars if I could! It made my life so much easier. Thank you!

More than one occasion the small clip tab on the computer cable end has been broken off inadvertently. These clips prevent you from spending more money on a new cable. The cables are a lot more expensive than a pack of these clips. They are not easy to install but when you get it right it works like a charm. I almost sent these back as they were not holding the cable in the port. BUT, I did not. I had installed them wrong and after studying the pictures I was able to figure out how to get it to hold correctly. The instructions do not help as they are almost non-existent. But these clips work. You just have to fiddle around with them until you get it right.

I have several cat5 enet cables that have broken terminator clips. They no longer lock in the port and can easily be pulled out. These were a less expensive than replacing the cables. They work just fine but in some cases I could not remove them from the socket! I had to use my needle nose pliers to get it out. Now I will only use them with cables I don’t have to plug and replug. Once they are in I can leave them plugged in and they work great for that!

My category 6a ethernet cables are thick and expensive. The latch/tap on my RJ45 connector broke, and there is no way I will throw away my Cat6a cable. So, I purchased the RJ45 Connector Solution. These clips work. If your Cat6a cable has a boot on the RJ45 connector, you will need to slide down the boot to get it out the way. Once you attach the RJ45 Connector Solution repair clip to the RJ45 connector, you will not be able to use the boot anymore. Might as well cut off the boot. See attached photos.

I don't know how it can work for other users. If I try to put it on the metal part of the RJ45 connector, the cable will not fit into the socket. But it is not large enough to fit around the plastic part of the connector which is before the metal end. Completely useless.

I had a Cat 5 cable with the dreaded broken clip and the RJCLIP worked like a charm to fix it. Rerunning the cable wan't an option and preferred not to crimp on a new end so this product was the answer. Works like new. One note is that the RJCLIP does not fir over the existing sleeve and I couldn't slide it back to reveal the cable end so I used some snips to remove the sleeve and the RJCLIP fir perfectly and snapped right into my connection point as advertised. This really is an affordable and clever solution to those loose or broken clips.

A lifesaver!! One of these little clips saved me from needing a new Ethernet cable for the love of a broken little clip! Super easy to clip right on and it works like a charm. I love that it’s made in Canada too. You don’t see that too much anymore. I hope you make these in more colors and I’ll have using them just for fun on my cables!

I'm impressed that these little plastic connectors make the satisfying click and pretty secure connection after the plastic lugs snapped off my existing cable. I have 15m cables so buying these clips was cheaper than a replacement cable. However, the clip has to sit over a moulded rubber part of the cable connector which previously housed the small plastic lug (the one that snapped). This was true for multiple cables that I have. To fit these clips on, I had to spend time sawing off the moulded rubber, which wasn't that easy. After I did that though these worked like a charm. A small and cheap solution to a specific problem.
