I received this pad dryer accessory recently. Have only used a few times, but it seems to do what it is supposed to and helped remove stickiness from the pads of my alto sax. I had my vintage model completely overhauled a few months ago and the new pads were gradually developing some typical sticky quality. Using this cleaning pad remedied the situation. I doesn't seem necessary to use after every practice session, which is good because it is a bit of a pain.So this seems to do a decent job with it's basic function. However, it really is kind of overpriced for what you get. For the cost of the packaging and shipping, I think they should include 2 pieces instead of just the one! I wish the smaller 'handle end' of the piece as a bit larger. I wish the material itself was slightly stiffer to make maneuvering it under various pads a bit easier. It can be rather tricky getting it around and between various rods and cages to position it completely under some pads. I don't know why there aren't more competing products on the market for this seemingly simple function, or if this particular material is so special in any way? There aren't many options, and for some reason this item took weeks to ship (is it only directly imported?).Despite my complaints about the price for what they give you and some design aspects which might be improved, this Spit Sponge appears to do it's job solving sticky pads without using powder paper and that is what matters most. Now I just have to see how long it lasts.

I spent a lot of money on my new sax and want to avoid spending more on pad repairs.Could I have just used a small piece of cloth to clean the excess moisture built up on the pads? Probably, but the unique shape of this Spit Sponge makes it easy to get in between all the keys.This easily cleans all the pads on my alto sax, and absorbs a lot of moisture.

I really liked this item in theory, but it just doesn’t really do much of anything. I found the large end to be too big, and small end too small. It’s too thin to absorb much of anything. I tried it on a couple different horns with pads of various ages. Im afraid it’s just another gimmick to take your money IMHO. Maybe at half or a quarter the current price, it could be justified. Unless I’m missing something, this thing is slightly more than useless.

It works if you use it.

I used the smaller woodwind size of this product before trying this size on my tenor. I love it! When water drips from the left hand stack keys, this cleans things up quick at the tone hole source. No more constantly trying to wipe pearls clean and having drips continue. I highly recommend it.

Do not buy gimmicks. This is one in my opinion.

Das Ding ist total labberig, es hat keine Eigenstabilität. Es ist fast unmöglich es zu handhaben. Der große Teil ist zu groß für die Gis-Klappe beim Tenorsaxophon, also muss man den kleinen Schnippel benutzen.Ich hatte den nur gekauft, weil der andere Reiniger nicht verfügbar war. Das war auch das LETZTE mal. Völlig ungeeignet.

Pratico, fa il suo lavoro ed il colore giallo lo rende evidente per non perderlo.

Seitdem ich das Tuch nutze kleben die Klappen nicht mehr.Ich bin zufrieden.
