Didn't work. Power issues?
I tried with a Samsung DCT 983 1.92TB drive. I got a yellow flashing light and that was about it. The NVME driver would appear in Windows about 1/3 of the time I booted. Sometimes saying it "Couldn't find device". 2/3 of the time it would not appear at all. Samsung DC command line tool never saw it. I tried a few ports on a machine with a EATX motherboard and a 1500W power supply. My guess is that the drive consumed too much power for the VREG on the board as it draws up to 10.6W when writing and 4W at idle. Aside from that the design is very poor with too much gap between the connector and the board for all the SSDs I placed on it. Other reviewers have commented as well.Update - Still not working, tried in 3 more machines. I can't believe it's taken so much of my time, but apparently it's either a design defect, or manufacturing issue. I do notice that the drive gets warm when plugged in, so I guess it's providing power, but that's about it.UPDATE 2:. The primary machine that I tested in now has issues booting. It will POST but not progress to a boot up. Subsequent power cycle will allow the machine to boot, but I can't help but think that this device damaged the motherboard somehow.

U.2 (SFF-8639) socket clearance issue
This adapter card looks like high quality. But the U.2 socket has a clearance issue (see pictures). The manufacture should double-check the part clearance before the massive production.
