When considering you put boiling hot drinks in this cup, you would think that the person or people that thought of this stupid cup, would've made sure that if you accidently knocked over, the contents wouldn't be able to spill out, causing you to suffer 2nd - 3rd degree burns. That said, then WHY did the dumb nitwit(s) instead of designing a lid you simply press down on, would've made DAMN sure it was a screw on cover type , to ensure our (the consumers) safety & not wind up getting sued? The cup is pretty, but aesthetician isn't going to keep us from getting burned. A PROPER screw-on cover would, with a REAL snap feature for the mouth opening, so the contents don't get cold too soon & ensure it doesn't leak either if accidently knocked over.For that reason, I deemed it UNsafe & returned it.If only the glass one, which DOES have a screw-on cover, is ALSO unsafe, due to the silicone band around the cup, gets just as hot, if not hotter, than the cup itself, causing it to be UNsafe as well & burning your hand. The contents get cold REAL quick. Not to mention the price goes up, exponentially. Why? 'Cause it's glass?Either way, I'm on the hunt for a cup that's microwavable, has a tight snap for the mouth piece & keeps the contents HOT for more than 2 hours, minimum. Is it out there? I seriously doubt it.

So disappointed because I wanted to love this mug. It has features I was looking for:* lightweight BPA plastic* could go in the microwave* cute color scheme* held a decent amount of ouncesHowever, used it over the course of a week while traveling as I’m trying to be more eco-conscious & it simply didn’t work for me:* Cap is a “push on,” so no twisting or locking & isn’t a tight seal* the sliding/toggle over the sip hole kept falling back against my face every time I sipped* the airflow hole in the lid didn’t appear to work because I had to lightly suck from the drink hole to have my coffee.This item went back & Im trying another one I just ordered.

I've had this mug less than a week, I bought it to replace an Aladdin mug that I lost a couple of weeks ago. If you are expecting a mug that will keep liquids hot for an hour, this is not the mug for you. Imagine that you stopped at a service station and got coffee in a 16 oz styrofoam cup with a sleeve to insulate your hand from the heat; this mug is a plasticized version of that. This is not a double-walled mug and it transmits heat readily, hence the sleeve that is permanently part of the mug. Not that big of a deal to me, because I seldom take more than 30 minutes to drink a cup of coffee, and I can always pop it in the microwave to reheat if it's too cold. I am more concerned about the lid, since it is held on by friction. It does not thread on and I don't know how long it will be leakproof. Works fine out of the box, but I have my doubts about its longevity. I filled the Aladdin mug in the photo with coffee, then poured it into the MOCHIC cup and it held all of the coffee, despite appearing much smaller. As you can see from looking at the cup, there are no threads to hold the lid on. The lid has a stopper on a swivel intended to prevent spills. Don't know how well it would work if you knocked the cup over, but it seems to work OK at preventing coffee from sloshing out if it gets jostled. There is a small pinhole under the rubber by the swivel that apparently allows the mug to "breathe". I'll update this review after I've used it for a few months.

Everything about their description (including my 5 star ratings) is accurate, truthful, etc. I’ll explain the “but” a bit later.They are lightweight, easy to grip and the cap is easy to put on or remove, yet watertight. We have not had any problems washing/drying them in the upper dishwasher rack. No problems with microwaving, either. The flapper that you use when you want to take a sip (or after you’re done sipping) is well-designed and easy to operate one-handed. After about a month of use I noticed the beginnings of a discoloration on the inside (I’m a coffee person).But…keep in mind that it’s a cup not a jug, flask or flagon. In other words, it’s not a travel mug!

The media could not be loaded.  I really like this cup, I was looking for a reusable coffee mug that didn’t have a handle and wasn’t metal (I can’t stand those) and this was perfect. I can put it in the microwave to reheat, it fits perfectly in my cupholder in the car. I feel the top could be a little better, it doesn’t go on with a tight fit and if you happen to lift it by the top or it’s spills the top will come off VERY easy. In the car no problem. That might be an issue for some, minor problem for me as I could be a little clumsy but overall I do like it.

The media could not be loaded.  the reason i returned it was because it open easy the cap, if it bump into something it will. some times when i would put it in the sides of my backpack it will open.but overall it was nice, it did not spill when close even if you put it upside downmicrowave safe

These cups can go in the microwave, which is the main reason I bought them. My coffee maker does not heat a glass pot but instead has a carafe that only keeps the coffee hot for an hour, so I fill this cup, put it in the MW oven and pop the 1 button. In one minute I have coffee at the perfect temperature. They also rinse out beautifully and need washing only every other day or so.

I am a notorious coffee sipper, so having a mug that is microwave safe so I can reheat my morning java is a wonderful!!! It's super easy to clean. I haven't had any spills or leaks with it but I also treat it like it's a mug full of coffee and not a sports bottle. Will buy again :)
