No history book is comparable

Brilliant book, perfect condition, wonderful price. What's not to like?

Very detailed and definitely not a quick read but l didn't buy it because l thought it would be. I'm almost finished it and wow was it interesting. My nephews don't like school and don't very much like history in general but when l talk about all the stuff l learned in this book they seem to really enjoy it. A bonus is that is really looks nice. It came in a nice decorative quality simple black case sits on my fireplace mantle. Great book packed with so much detail.

Il volume è imponente, graficamente accattivante e ben fatto soprattutto a livello di illustrazioni e mappe ma (ed è un grandissimo "MA") in realtà rimane ad un livello contenutistico estremamente generale senza un vero approfondimento dei temi trattati. A volte verrebbe da domandarsi se sia possibile rimpicciolire qualche mappa in favore di un maggior spazio testuale. Essenzialmente rimane quello che si può supporre dalle dimensioni e che oggettivamente si può pretendere da un libro che voglia abbracciare tutta la storia umana: un atlante storico-geografico per un excursus rapido su tutti gli eventi al fine di avere un'infarinatura adatta a partecipare ad un quiz show ma non sufficiente a conoscere a fondo un singolo argomento.

Amazing book, but as I was unaware about it shipping from the UK, and have never ordered overseas before I was unaware of the fee I would have to pay for Customs, and I was uninformed when I ordered it, so that didn't make me happy. But the book itself is a work of art, and I love it.

Perfect for a Geographer who likes history, or na Historian who likes maps and cartography. A perfect mix to understand the world.
