ColumbiaWomen's Discontinued Ice Maiden II Boot

Comfort, cuteness, and handles like a pro!
Typically I wear a size 10 women’s (medium width) or a size 8 men’s (medium width). I needed boots for an upcoming trip and initially purchased these in medium width. They look great and check all the boxes in color, comfort, and warmth. However, the medium width boots wouldn’t have left much room for thick wool socks, which I’ll need. So, I decided to purchase these in a 10.5 wide width and I am so thankful for all the reviews that recommended the wide width and sizing up. I only went up a half-size. Normally I couldn’t wear a wide width shoe/boot; however, these are wonderful. They are roomy, as seen in the photos. However, I had on thin socks and still no sloshing around in them. Also, I hiked in a nature preserve with muddy, rocky terrain with elevation variations, these boots handled every twist and turn with ease. My feet feel fantastic and interestingly, my legs didn’t feel as heavy or fatigued as they often are when I’m wearing my hiking shoes.I highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for comfort, cuteness, and a boot that can handle whatever path one takes!

Comfy fit - great price
These came up in a search for an expensive brand name and I thought I was ordering something else! I can’t believe what a steal these are. I have an old injury on my right foot that makes it hard to find shoes that don’t hurt in the toe - but I ordered a half size up wide and they’re great. Cute, warm, perfect for mammoth trips, and didn’t cost a fortune!

Get half a size larger
The boots are great, very comfy and warm, but mine are too big since I got a whole size up after reading the reviews. Half a size larger is fine! Mine are wide and I love that I got them!

Very warm and dry!
I love these boots! I read that they can run small, so I bought a 9 Wide when I wear 9 in regular shoes. They fit perfectly. I am a dog walker, and while trudging through the snow in single digits, these boots kept my feet warm and dry the entire time. They have good support, but since I have plantar fascitis, I inserted additional orthotic insoles for optimal comfort. The boots have a rocking back and forth motion while walking, which I find comfortable. There is good support for the ankles as well. No snow gets in, and you can tighten the laces at the top to keep everything even drier. The only issue I have is that the traction isn't very good if you walk on ice or even sidewalks with a thin layer of snow. It is very slippery. Other than that, I love these boots and will order them again!

Love the Columbia Women's Ice Maiden II Snow Boot
From the moment I put my feet in these boots, I loved them. They are exactly what I needed: super comfortable since the first time I wore them, warm, grippy soles, sturdy construction, and cute (as far as snow boots go…). First time I wore them, I received a compliment on them (the person liked the dove color). I am so glad I went with the dove color—it’s a nice light grey. Very happy with this purchase!!

Like these boots!
They look good, are comfortable and warm. I ordered the Wide to have extra room for thick socks. A friend saw mine and ordered her own and, she said she didnt need the wide but, loves them. I probably could have been okay without wide because I don't think thick socks will be needed as they are warm. Great price for Columbia! Now my third pair of Columbia boots (all different typed for different activities). These are the least expensive but, seem to the same great quality. Can't speak of waterproof yet. We'll see what winter brings this year and update if necessary.

Comfortable and durable
Very comfortable, extremely durable. Runs true to size, I wear 11 and it fits perfectly. Not too heavy to walk your dog and definitely keeps your feet warm.

Super warm and waterproof!
Love it! Bought these for Christmas trip to Yellowstone and expected them to keep my feet warm at -6~-8 °F and they’ve done a great job! It’s also waterproof and tall enough so that I could walk in deep snow, without worrying getting snows inside my boots. Style-wise, I would say it looks not bad from afar and in the picture, even though I thought it’s kinda bulky at first.I chose half size up as advised by previous comments, and there’s more than enough room for wool sock, perhaps can fit double layer of socks. Also, I worn theses in Salt Lake City with wool socks, it’s even kinda too warm during the day.Overall a great purchase!

Cómodas y lindas
Uso número 5 mexicano, encargué 5.5 pero creo que me hubieran quedado mejor las de número 5.Las pedí sólo para usarlas en invierno, y son calientes. Así que cumplen su función. Son de buena calidad.

Bien comodas y bonitas
Las use para un viaje a Escocia. Me aguantaron increíble. Se humedecieron un poco un día por dentro pero también porque fue lluvia torrencial. Sin duda son buenisimas para lluvia y nieve y el pie te lo mantiene muy calientito.

nice boots WARM, DRY, COMFORTABLE, GOOD ON ICE AND IN SNOW.
they arrived on time.I have a very narrow heel/ankle, so it is rather difficult finding shoes or boots that fit me well that also offer support. My feet are a bit of a larger sizing than they were in the past as my arches have fallen a bit so I recently was sized at a 9 for my running shoes/joggers but even then it is so difficult to find a pair that do not slide up and down the back of my heel. The Columbia Ice Maiden II Snow Boot kind of does so I am still on the fence with these boots need to wear the a bit to make sure they are right for me.Other than that they feel comfortable, they look nice although I have seen reviews indicating they are not that warm in very frigid temperatures. But I do not spend a lot of time out maybe 30 minutes at the most if I can help it when its -40C outside. And the current winter boots I own which I love, unfortunately one icy day I wore some yak trak things and managed to put a hole in one of my boots with them on the inner arch of one foot. To say the least they are still great except for the snow that can now get inside there that melts then its cold. Thus the mad rush to find something at a reasonable price in todays economy that fits my budget. These depending on how well my feet survive in them may be the best option until I can at least see if my old winter boots can be repaired, and even if they can be they are ankle height so these would be a go to in much heavier snowfall days anyway. We shall see.Hopefully as I wear them in my apartment building over the next couple of days testing them up and down the stairwells, etc. If I feel they will not give me blisters they may be a keeper because other than that slight slide I am feeling in the heel, they are quite comfortable.UPDATE: Jan 18 2024 - yay it snowed lol .. we need the snow, and I hope it stays til spring. So here is a better review on these boots. I have relatively narrow feet and I wear thick wool blend 'mens' socks bc I couldn't find womens socks that were as thick. Thick for warmth and to take up some of that extra space in the boot so my foot doesn't flop around too much. And thus far? They are great.WARMTH - YES - They are WARM I definitely am not experiencing any of that cold others complained about perhaps you need to rethink your socks?ICE - they work. I have not felt many slips as I walk to the stores in the area, I even walked down the back alley this morning and they did not slip at allI feel these boots although not the best because if my budget could have afforded better boots I would have got those. But these are working out very nicely my feet are warm, The icy snow conditions, they are working quite well thus far. Easy to pull on and take off. REALLY rethink your socks if you feel cold because my feet are dry and warm and like I said I purchased men's wool blend socks at walmart. If I would have put better thought into the purchase I should have checked out the boys socks to see if similar could be found as the fit would have been better. But the mens socks are working great to fill up that excess room I find in most boots. aND YEST i WAS OUT WHEN IT WAS -30C AND COLDER

Not Columbia Boots!!!!
Very stiff, cheap material. They don't feel like original Columbia Boots.
