Adapter was defective and would not work. Seller required me to pay shipping to return the defective item to them.

I love this adapter. I was searching for something that would allow for me to store footage and photos for an upcoming trip to Japan. As I don't want to take my laptop. The only devices I will have with me are my Samsung Galaxy S8+, Kindle Paperwhite, and a 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive. I've tested the adapter already and was able to find the flash drive on the Android file system using the ES File Explorer app, and the data transfer speeds from phone to flash drive were surprisingly fast. This adapter made it possible. I'm impressed with it's quality and love the added feature of it's length of wire between the USB 3.0 port and USB-C port, as it is more resistant to shock, bumps, and unexpected physical contact than would be a dongle or a rigid port-to-port adapter.

After getting a new laptop with only USB-C ports and owning a lot of USB accessories, these are incredibly handy. And they are so small. I purchased several so I could just keep them attached to the external hard drives, numeric key pad etc. that I use most often. Every one I've bought has worked flawlessly and fits tightly but not too tightly to both the USB end and to the USB-C port on my laptop.

Product works as described. I am able to hook up my USB devices to my Macbook Pro easily. No install required. I have connected my ipad and also my CD drive and both worked perfectly.

I have reviewed and tossed many hubs and adapters becuase of a poorly machined "Shark tooth" USB-C connection. I only made the mistake of plugging one directly into my expensive laptop once, and after that, shark-toothed USB-C hubs were only tested using another hub. I highly recommend this adapter because it is of high quality, and it works.

I needed this to accomplish two things:1. Connect an external microphone to my iPad. ---- Works2. Connect a thumb drive to my iPad. ---- WorksBest OTG I've used!

I was upset with the new MacBook because I'm not able to use the old port any more.Then I started to search on Amazon and finally found this one. This is simple and light. It works exactly as described. I connected it to a lightning cable, a flash drive, a wireless mouse, zero problem! It's only half the price of the Apple one and does exactly the same thing. I recommend it to anyone who has a new new MacBook. Love it!

I got this because the Surface Go doesn't have a USB port, but USB-C. With this dongle, I can connect any USB device!

At last! Works perfectly connecting my Macbook Air (USB-C) with Apple USB Superdrive (DVD/ CD external player). Was a bit sceptical about buying this knowing Apple always has problem with non-Apple accessories. Byt in the end I could at lwast play DVD on my Macbook. Has not tried CDs yet but I am sure it's going to be perfect. The packaging is however a bit of a nuisance as it's very difficult to get the adapter out. I had to use scissors to cut the packaging through. What if I need to send it back for some reason??

This adapter works great with my 2018 Macbook Air which only has USB C ports, I bought it to use flash drives and also to hook up my electric guitars in Garageband and it works great for both. The form factor also means I have space to charge at the same time, unlike other adapters with no cable that I've seen on Amazon. Great value too.

I purchased this to use on my iPad Pro with IpadOS and the new USBc connectivity. It worked well for a few days but now no longer transmits then data. I have tested my external HD and a couple of memory sticks, all work when plugged into my Mac but not on the iPad through the adapter!

I use a digital camera which uses the usual SD cards and I wanted a simple way to "upload" the photos, initially to my Samsung A50 phone (which then automatically uploads them to Google Photos for safe keeping).Using the "My Files" application which comes with the phone, on connecting a USB card reader to this adapter, it was immediately detected and I was able to transfer the photos from the external SD card to my phone.Just perfect!!!And it seems very strongly made which leads me to believe that it will last me a long time.Thank you Amazon Prime for delivering this item on THE SAME DAY that I ordered it!!!

Well made product but unfortunately it did not work with MacBook Pro. Connected a USB and tried to copy data but drive kept ejecting giving Error Code 100006. Tried different drives/combinations but no joy. I then tried an Apple cable instead and all worked no problem. Don't know if Im unhappy with manufacturer of this product or with apple for making thing so proprietary. Bottom line this is a very well made product but it didn't work with my Mac so had to return
