I bought an ancient Dell E6520 Windows 7 laptop at a thrift store that turned out to be nothing but one big headache to get working but this battery turned out to be the one brightside in that journey.The E6520 that I bought this for had an original 9 cell extended battery which was dead so I was forced to replace it. There are 3 battery choices for the E6520, a 4 cell, 6 cell, and a 9 cell. The 9 cell is the extended battery that provides the longest battery life but it also extends from the laptop body like the Hunchback of Notre-Dame and since I didn't plan on using the laptop that often unplugged I went with this 6 cell battery that advertised decent watt hours and fit the outline of the laptop. The 4 and 6 cell batteries have the same dimensions but the 4 cell battery would have been useless in my opinion.The reason I went with this brand is that the seller wasn't picturing the original Dell battery nor advertising their battery as genuine since new Dell batteries don't exist for any of their old laptops so the seller got my respect for being honest and not being shady. Secondly, unlike most of the white label brands on Amazon this brand appears to be made by an actual manufacturer of batteries among other things so I gave additional points for that.My final opinion was formed when I received the battery. It was physically well manufactured and fit nicely into the laptop which I can't say has always been my experience with other brands of batteries for other brands of laptops.My real pleasure and shock came from how long this battery's charge lasts. Under heavy use of downloading programs and installing them and updating Windows it lasts a little over 2 hours. Now when using the laptop for light use such as streaming videos I can't tell you how long it lasts because when I was doing that I got nowhere close to draining it to 20% in over 3 hours so I gave up and went to sleep and have care about testing it further.My only complaint about this brand is that they don't have a big product line and only sell a very limited number of battery models. After my experience with this battery I would have loved to replaced other laptop batteries with this brand but they don't make them.

Installation was very easy. The battery looked exactly the same as my original battery, and it fit perfectly. After the battery was fully charged, I ran a test to see how long my laptop would run on the battery. The result was over 2 hours. My old battery was only giving me half an hour of run time before shutting down.

Bought this as a replacement battery for a Dell Inspiron 17R 5720. This is the second replacement battery I've bought. About a year ago I bought a battery from a different vendor here on Amazon. It worked, with an odd issue on boot up (you got a message that there was an issue with the battery, and you had to hit F1 to continue to boot). That battery died after about a year, so I bought this battery. This battery performs like it is a Dell OEM battery. As long as no problems develop, I would recommend this battery, and would buy another if needed.

Warning: Inaccurate Product Capability List due to DellThey claim this battery is compatible with my Dell Latitude E6430 in multiple places on the product page, but I later learmed that Dell has a several versions of the model, and they all take different batteries .Ease of use: I was just about to put the battery in my laptop when I noticed that the instructions said you have to insert an adaptor to activate the battery before starting the laptop, or else the laptop will not start normally. Unfortunately, I don't see an adaptor in the box it came with, so I don't know what I'm supposed to insert. The instructions give no further information. A Google search returns inapplicable results, so I came back here. I don't know what I'm supposed to. This is a battery....it should be simple....how did they manage to make a battery difficult to use?
