This is a gift I bought for my sister-in-law and she is very please with it :) I did a lot of research on French Presses before I made this purchase and can say I did a great job picking this one. It came packaged very well and in perfect condition. It is a french press of high quality brands with a super affordable price, and that is the best part! My sister-in-law is a coffee fanatic and this French Press is exactly what she wanted. Now, my brother wants one and I will more than likely be purchasing this exact one again!

I can make it work and I do and I enjoy the coffee I brew but the piece that holds the plunger bits together is made of plastic and breaks easily. My pliers and I can push it down and clamp it again to hold the plunger bits together but next time I'm looking for a plunger with a metal hold-down piece, preferably one that will screw down so that the basket pieces can be separated for a thorough cleaning every now and again.

I am hooked on french press now. MUCH BETTER COFFEE! This little guy does a good job, i hand wash it each morning but its small so only takes a minute.Best recipe...boil 32 oz (for 2 travel mugs worth) of water. add 5 Tablespoons of your favorite coffee (using actual measuring spoons). poor water (32oz) into the press. stir after 60 seconds (all the floating grounds should settle). let it sit for another 3-5 minutes depending on how strong you like your coffee(i prefer a full 5). strain and poor immediately. ENJOY!!Fresh, coarse ground coffee works best...the finer the grind is the more grounds you will have in your cup (my wife hates this, but doesn't bother me). feel free to play with the time and amount of grounds but 1.25 TBSP/8oz is the best ive found.

Great french press...like it because the screen goes farther down than most to press out the coffee.

Worked one time, the part that holds the filter will not thread back onto the plunger base. Also fits very loose in the plastic handle holder and slides out when tipped to pour.

Like a previous reviewer, this french press also broke for us after 2 uses. The little plastic piece that screws the screens down to the plunger broke without any resistance. I, too, would not recommend this product.
