Can Win10 assign 2 of these to specific com ports and they will stay there when I turn it on tomorrow?

Sure, but be aware that the COM PORT assignment CAN CHANGE if the adapter is moved to a different USB Port. Also be aware that you can change the COM PORT assignment. For example Windows "remembers" COM Port assignments even if that adapter has been removed. You can reuse the COM Port Number if it's no longed connected to anything. Windows will say it's in use even though is isn't. As long as you know it's free, just tell Windows this ignore the past and use the number you select. Hope the helps .....

I do not see why not. We have successfully used this cable on both PC's (Windows XP, 7 and 10) and Mac's (OSX) to communicate from the USB port to legacy RS232 devices. You have to install the appropriate driver for your computer (drivers included with the cable), and after adjusting your communications settings (baud rate, data bits, parity, etc.) you should be able to communicate with your legacy RS232 device.
