Purchased this as replacement for travel/plein air watercolors. Compact 36 colors; hues are intense, so less paint goes farther. Mica (metallic-like) colors - silver, gold, copper, violet, green and white are spectacular. Color pots don't shift when transporting. Three section pan. Set was difficult to open; I created a lift tab from tape to solve the problem.

I bought these in April. Used them on several pieces in tandem with other watercolors and they hold up really well if you’re needed an almost gauche opacity.As you can see in photos.. applied that white/slight Blk to obtain light grey onto a tree already dry (tree’s base color was from Marie’s Professional water color set (which are quite good, btw). The red flowers are also Soho over Marie’s. ( I did check these again to ensure they are not gauche, they’re not. )My only less enthusiastic observation is out of 36 colors they included four “Pearl like, glitter” colors. Why? I rarely, if ever, have a need for metallic gold, silver, copper, green. Am I in the minority here? I wonder.Since the lid detaches, these would be cumbersome plein air painting. My lid is already bent to where it doesn’t sit flat upon the table. In the feels it’s just one more thing to secure.Great price for this robust color.

My brother gifted these to me a year back and I loved them so much that when they ran out I just had to buy another! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE WATERCOLORS!

I really like that I can remove the individual paints from the storage tin. I just received these last week so I haven't had a chance to use them yet.

Upon opening the paints I was a bit surprised that some colors appear as full pans and others look dry and half empty. I have not tried to paint with these as I am most likely returning them.

I would love this to be my paint brand. It is great to use, both tubes and pans, though I prefer pan watercolor in general.the tin does not stay closed, and does better as a studio paint for that reason.I love this paint.

Was shipped in an envelope with no other protective packaging. Arrived damaged, with paints cracked and broken. These paints are meant to be semi-moist, which means they should feel a bit tacky to the touch, however, they are completely brittle and dehydrated. Also, strangely the paint pans do not nest flush into the container. All evidence points to an expired product; very disappointed.

The color selection is abundant to allow mixing of almost any shade. I like the semi - moist pans and the compact size for traveling. They are really effective in my mixed media pieces.
