Good fitment
After wasting several trips to the local parts store for this cable end replacement i just waited and ordered here. Comes with both of the 6l80 cable ends that can be on the 07+ GM vehicles. Follow the video and make sure you really have the bushing seated in the cable end AND the post on the transmission or you WILL have it pop off.

Fixed a BAD situation on a 2004 F150 Lariat
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) - They work and repaired my shift cable on my 2004 F150 Lariat.Ever have one of those “projects” where it was out to get you from the start?? Nothing like having a vehicle up on jack stands for days while you are trying to figure out how to fix what should be a simple thing. >>Grumble, grumble, grumble<<So, the shift linkage on my 2004 F150 Lariat failed (fortunately in my driveway). Truck was immobilized. The 2004 Ford shift cables uses plastic insert bushings that, evidently, are biodegradable. I know this because the remnants of both inserts crumbled in my hands and were liberated by Mother Nature. So, I couldn’t initially use this “bushing repair kit” because the shift cable bushings were off cavorting with Mother Nature. You need something there for these "repair bushings" to work. If your bushings are gone these "repair bushings" are useless.I also bought a new shift cable off of Amazon. Please note that they make a year and make specific replacement cable for the 2004 F150 (why do I always end up with vehicles that are unique production models???). See YouTube on how to pop off the console plastic housings so you can actually get to the shift cable. I thought everything was going to be alright after snaking the cable through the dash and firewall down to the transmission. – But no! It wasn’t done with me yet - not by a long shot….Unfortunately, the funky little bushing part of that brand new shift cable that fits over the ball ends of the shift linkages didn’t fit my specific fittings. It appears that there were two (2) styles of cables and at least two (2) revisions for this specific F150 model year. The cable ends kept popping off while I was trying the shifter. (Thank goodness I wasn’t driving anywhere or stuck on the side of the road.)But, since I had intact plastic bushings (even if they didn’t hold onto the shift mechanisms) on my new cable, I could use this “bushing repair kit” and so I repaired my brand new cable in place. Now you might ask, "Is $28 for two little plastic bushings realistic???" Well, they've got you. The cost to get a genuine Ford shift cable installed is so expensive and just the cost to tow you truck to the shop would pay for a bunch of these buggers. (Someone suggested $150+ for Ford to repair this. I don't know if that's true, but it's probably close.)By the way, look up how to install these repair bushings on bushingfix-dot-com. It's not intuitive. You need an 11/32nd inch (8.75 mm) drill for one of the bushings and a 3/8th (9.5mm) drill for the other for the 2004 F150.But they do work and fixed a BAD situation. For that they are brilliant!

Quick Fix
The connection on the end of the shifter cable broke and this was the exact replacement part I needed. It took longest to remove the old broken rubber bushing. The new one went in smoothly and the connection was perfect. Be sure the taper section of the bushing is pointing away from the transmission arm. The "plug" goes in the back of the bushing and not the tapered front.

Easy install and beats installing new cable!
Simple installation on 2007 Chevy Tahoe, so easy doubted that it would hold but after 800 miles it seems to be excellent. Better than going through installing a whole new cable.

Shift cable for 4l70
Installed fairly easily on my transmission but you do need to make sure the cable is completely cleaned. And it helped to add a little lubricant before install.
