Good Value, No Hassle
Bought this to make skid plates for my 16' Royalex Mohawk Nova. Every six inches yields two skids, heel to toe, so there are six pairs of skids possible.Easy to cut with a razor knife on a cutting mat. Remains intact during installation. Wets quickly with G Flex (and I recommend).Very happy with the product, post-installation.

Best option for long skid plates
Have used this seller and product three times now. This is the best way to get the longest skid plate possible with the least amount of excess material left over. Just trace out you tear drops long corner to long corner with the two nesting together like a ying and yang sign. You got this. Also, buy G-flex for epoxy and you'll thank me. The regular stuff is too brittle.

A bit thicker than I hoped but it works great
Relatively thick felt, but easy to work with and cut. Not sure it is better than using Kevlar fiber….

soaks up a lot of epoxy!
Used this for skid plates on an old Wenonah canoe. Cut out 2 4"x30" strips and installed w/ Gougen Bro's Epoxy. Took 2 x 4oz orders of their "West G-flex" epoxy to fully saturate the pads.

Good stuff for Surftech surfboard
I used it to repair several points of damage on a surf Tech tough-light that utilizes epoxy and kevlar as its material as apposed to fiberglass and resin. Is so far so good period

Cut your own canoe skid plates
Tough material to cut, but it is much more affordable than buying pre-cut skid plate kits. I cut 2 kids at 30 inches long by 2.5inches to 4 inches wide, and still have enough material to make about 10 more skids. Mine were installed on a.1990 Wenonah Kevlar Odyssey. Material must be fully saturated and "massaged", like a fine woman, to get to do what you want it to do.

Very good cheap canoe skid plate
They want 100 bucks for skid plate kit almost anywhere you can find one... this material is the same stuff and is enough to do about 5 canoes... just buy the epoxy seperate. Total for one boat about 50 bucks and you can make them whatever size you want. Great stuff.
