Worked and fit like the original keys.

We had a local independent hardware store cut the keys for $1 per side ($2 per key). Programming was simple: turn the original key in the ignition until the instrument lights appear, then immediately remove the original without starting, then put an unprogrammed key in and repeat. I'd left the new key in for a few seconds before removing. After a minute, I tested that key and it worked as good as the original. 5 STARS!

They worked

They worked and saved me quite a bit of money going through the dealership. I lost my only ignition key so was in quite a pinch. The dealership wanted $80 per key with the same instructions that these come with. I got two of these for $15 and did the programming myself. First one with no ignition key takes about a half an hour. The second one after the first one is already programmed takes just a couple seconds. I found an old school locksmith to cut them for me. Ace Hardware would not cut it unless it was one of their own keys and the other hardware store near me couldn't get it to fit in their machine. If you don't have an old school locksmith near you that could be an issue but there should be one around somewhere. Anyways these were a pretty fair deal and saved me quite a bit of money and got my car running again after losing the keys.

Was excited to receive this blank key with transponder for my Chevy Silverado 2011 and try to duplicate it. We were given 2 keys when we bought it from the previous owner, but one of the keys didn't work so we needed an extra one just in case. It was difficult finding someone to cut the key but we found one locksmith who did it for $6. We bought this set for $15 (2 blanks) and followed the directions how to program the transponder. These were the other reviewer's instructions: "The way I programmed my key was to take my original key and put it in the ignition of my truck, turn the key to the on position for about 10 seconds (until all the dash lights go out) then turn the key off and remove it. Take the new key within 30 seconds and put it in the ignition and turn it to the on position for about 10 to 15 seconds, then turn the key off and remove it, BAM! the new key is programed, simple as that! Now you can put the new key in and start your vehicle. Remember you do need to remove the new key after the programming process and then put it back in the ignition for it to start your vehicle." We did just that and it worked! Simple and easy! So impressed. We don't really need 2 spares but for 1 it was $11 and 2 for $15 so I ended up buying 2.

Worked flawlessly on my 2012 Tahoe. First, get the keys cut. Phone local hardware stores and ask if they will cut a blank you bring in. Inform them this is NOT a laser cut key. Not all hardware stores will do this - they want to sell you the blank (rip-off). Try hardware stores before settling for a locksmith, it's a lot cheaper. I ended up at an Ace Hardware ($6.99/key). Here is the correct programming protocol for THIS vehicle. 1. Insert a working key. Turn to "on" position (do not start car) and wait for the security icon (padlock) to appear, then disappear. 2. Turn to "off" position and remove. 3. Immediately insert the new, cut transponder key. Turn to "on" position - wait for security icon to appear, then disappear. 4. Turn key to "off" position. The new key should be programmed. 5. Start car with new key to ensure success.

Worked like a charm. Programming was simple as could be. It worked first try. Had them cut. All good no complaints

I bought 2 and it work's really well. For this year and model of car, ifound on You Tube the procedure to configure the inside chip by my self and i had them cut at the hardware store for 3$ each. (2013 GMC Acadia)

Worked great for a 2009 Malibu. Easy to register the chipped key to the car. Just be sure to get a good key cutter person to cut the blank. My first attempt resulted in a key that was cut with the depth of the cut groves a little off. This key got stuck in the ignition and took 10min of fiddling for it to release.

My wife lost one of her keys for her 2008 Pontiac Torrent. One key from the dealership was over $100. Got both keys for $10. Cut by local locksmith and literally 20 seconds to program them both. Great deal compared to overpriced dealership and they work perfectly.
