Winsome 33153 Carter Bar Stool, Teak, 24"

We needed just an extra seat in our kitchen when family is over--not for at little table but for sitting to visit. This stool is beautiful and well made, and the color of the wood stain is rich. Assembly: I tried to put it together on my own and found that if I set all of the pieces in place then it was quite easy to just tighten the screws. I knew could not do the final four screws to secure the legs to the seat--I had our handy man do this part. He is very strong and it took quite a bit of strength to get the screws into place so this is very secure. I purchased pads for the stool legs and just slide it out of the pantry into the kitchen when needed. I will also use it on our back porch in sunny weather. So pleased!

WE originally bought this stool to be a table to hold soaps, bath bubbles, body lotions, etc next to our new Vessel bath tub. It is the same heighth making it easy to reach when you are in the tub. But now we are using ti as a stool next to the tub while the grandkids "swim" in our large tub. This table comes unassembled and you have to put together. But it is easy, with great directions and took about 10 - 15 minutes. It looks great, has a nice finish, and the screw plugs work perfect. A great value!

These are VERY well made, solid wood and easy to assemble. The seat is thicker than some stools and the edges do not have cut off sharp edges. They don’t cut into your backs of your legs. This ismy second set. My new puppies chewed the rungs on the first set. Replaced with cheaper stools with metal legs that had the sharp edges. So rebought the good ones. Purchased apple bitters to spray on legs when they started to chew. The others made really nice plant stands !

I like that this stool is simple in design, a good seat size and finished in a neutral palate. However, the holes in the seat to slip the legs into did not easily fit together. Took some chiseling to enlarge one hole. Extra work that I resented. The company was responsive right away and sent new legs but that was not the issue.

Just lower your expectation about quality and you may get used to this Stool (or a little table).

Absolutely beautiful. I love the simplicity of these counter stools and the quality wood. They look stunning in our kitchen for a very small cost!

Stool is very sturdy and easy to put together! I love it ! absolutely worth the price.

After 4 knee surgeries, I have to sit down in my walk in shower. I have a seat in the shower, but it is too low for me to get up. So I sit on the stool, which is the right height, and face the shower seat. I can put my feet up on the shower seat and wash my feet by myself. I have the appropriate grab bars, so I can give myself a private shower and sing to my hearts content . Also use a hand towel for comfort. Another happy clean person. I also use a folding soft brush to wash my feet any back. I've I weigh 340 lbs and I feel very safe. The caregiver is in the next room.

This is a beautiful stool... solid wood with lovely grain and easy to put together. I have a small table in the livingroom for jigsaw puzzles and sewing prep ... finally got a stool so I can sit rather than kill my knees by standing. Great buy!!
