Animal 2: The Omen (2) (The Animal Series)

Let's just get straight to the point...K'wan brought the unexpected in Animal II. He made us second guess all the scenarios we had conjured up in our head. He totally had us going to the left while he was busy ramming the story straight down our throats. Hands down one of the best novels we have read in 2013.So coming into this book, I was definitely #TeamGucci and #Team Porsha, but Animal II changed my opinion of them...UGH! I came to the conclusion that our 556 Book Chicks friend Lawrence may have a point...they not made for this life. Gucci got the duck mouth because Animal slept with Red Sonja while he was a fugitive for 2 plus years...really? How about you jump out the window with your friend, Gucci. And then Porsha on Zo-pound ass like they been together some years. A street man cannot hold down a nagging woman and survive in the streets - she will get you killed. The only thing I can give props to Porsha for was convincing Zo to leave his gun at her house that night...other than that she gets no respect from me. And I'm sorry Gucci might have earned a body or two in this book, but she almost let everyone die before she pulled the dam% trigger. So I want her and Porsha to exit stage right. But Frankie's Angel can stick around...maybe her and Zo can hook up later! What??? Don't hate the game...if you a fan of K'wan's you already know anything and everything is possible.But I have to say when Gucci told Animal his a$% had been on vacation "swimming in ho soup," I was dying laughing. "Ho soup" really K'wan? LOL!Ohhhhhh and K'wan finally let Swann's secret out the bag. And Lord knows everything he has you thinking up until the secret is finally released will be oh so very WRONG! I thought for sure Swann was playing...nevermind it don't matter anyway what I thought because it was WRONG!I absolutely loved the story line written for Animal, Ashanti, Kahllah aka Black Lotus, and Zo-Pound! Just when you think they were down for the count...K'wan dropped kicked someone and kept the ball moving forward. I am preparing you to expect the unexpected...do not blink, sleep or breathe while reading Animal II.But I am real curious how K'wan is going to bring up the status of King James. Because to me King James did not prove under no certain terms that he was boss material. And Lakim had a valid point that Ashanti was stepping up more like a boss and making decisions for them. Lakim was throwing serious shade on Ashanti throughout the book. And although I hate to say it Ashanti might have to put a bullet in Lakim sooner rather than later...just wait you will see.And Monika and I were discussing how K'wan got down on the sex scenes in this book! OMG!!!! K'wan damn near had a side story of erotica in Animal II. That scene with Zo and Porsha in the tub - had me looking back at the book cover trying to remember what the hell I was reading. 'Porsha placed one leg on the side of the tub so that Zo could get a better angle and drove her pelvis into his face. When she came, her legs shook, and she feared that she might fall, but Zo's powerful grip on her waist steadied her while he continued to lap at her.'WAIT...WAIT...WAIT...just when you get to the epilogue and you think everyone is on their HEA...there is a knock at the door. And it is the knock to end all knocks! Gucci don't answer that door girl...don't do it!Please believe K'wan put it down in this book. He gave you everything you were looking for...plus things you didn't even ask for. K'wan brings the heat in novel after novel...and we can't applaud him enough.~ Tiffany (556 Book Chicks)

It took me four hours to read this book last night and all I could do was smile once I read the last word at 2:25am. Let's state the facts K'wan is in a class by himself. I've been a fan for many years and I've never ever been disappointed by his pen game. All of his characters are memorable but no character tugs at your heart like the "ANIMAL"!!!! Once again Animal is back and he is still ready to slaughter anything moving. With each book Animal grows and we get to see the MAN and not just murderer. In this book we learn about his past and the past of his enemies as well and it all comes full circle (kind of). K'wan has the capability to make you remember characters that you may have forgotten but he knows how to jog your memory and make you have the "aha moment". He also knows how to weave characters in from previous hood rat novels and make you miss them and look for them later (or hope they will show up in another title later on). The ending was so Ill that I almost jumped out of the bed and screamed. Thank you K'wan for a fantastic explosive and down right dope read I can't wait for the next one.

I bought this book as a series for my son. Who asked me to get it for him. He said it's good

This is a great read if you like mystery drama and mystery. Great series heading to get the next book #3

There was my son just liked about these books they tell a beautiful harsh reality story of a man's life or what he has been through so it kept my child busy while incarcerated and out of trouble because he had something to concentrate on other than getting into more trouble I would recommend these books absolutely

This book was ok, a lot of fighting, killing an stuff thats just impossible to get out of. I love reading K'Wan's books. Well just when I thought we were going to put Animal to bed. I see there will be a part 3 or another book coming out with Gucci and Sonja.going at it over Animal... hahahah What a twist he put into his books.Also another war will be breaking out over the killing of big money savage.. who's going to die next... Cant wait to see the next book... Good job.

I truly enjoyed reading the book but I have so much questions, where was tayshawn (animal) older brother from another father? Where was Ashanti twin sister the one whom their mom sold to someone to clear her debt? How did animal mom died? This book was so good that most time I will try to sleep but outta curiosity I will wake up just to see what’s next? I have order book 3 and 4. This book made my curiosity peaked, and also felt like I just walk through a hunted house. 🤣😂😂😂😅😅

Animal is the man we love and loathe all at once. His life is the one we dread hearing about, yet become fascinated when we hear things about it. K'wan is the MAN with the Animal books. Makes me wish I lived in New York, just so I could run into Tayshawn. The character is so flawed, so filled with hate, hurt, and anger that we wanna hate him, but he's so vulnerable, just begging to be loved that we can't hate him. Animal makes us look into the eyes of a killer, yet we see pain, love, and a need to be loved that makes the reader want to hug and kiss him and make him feel the love, so that he may put down his weapons and learn to live a "normal" life. The ending that we read was well thought out, yet, I could see it coming. Not the main ending, but the very end. Oh boy, I can't wait to read the next installment.And I love that K'wan writes so that the reader doesn't have to have read the previous book for us to get it. I appreciate that.

K'wan does not disappoint with Animal 2. A lot is revealed in sequel and K'wan amazes me with his gift for story telling. I am glad to see there is an Animal 3 out already so I can read the next story right away.

A brilliant book, very well written. Couldn't put it down. Written to a very high standard. Kwan never lets me down!

this book was great! if you have read Animal, then the Omen is a must read! this book showed me that there is no such thing as a happy ending, without a perfect beginning. K'wan has outdone himself once again!

Man! This book was everything and more. I'm a huge kwan fan. Have read every single book. I bought this book at 12am and finished at 7:07am. Lol!!! Beautifully written.Loyal reader here! Can't wait for more.
