Solved our problem
We couldn't use our old remote control to turn on and off system or volume. This solved to problem. Works great.

Works perfect as a replacement for the remote on my Yamaha HTR-5640 stereo system
My remote control was getting sporadic to turn it on & the mute button no longer works at all. Sometimes the power on button worked & sometimes it didn't. My old remote was a RAV246 WA16410US, & this one is a RAV323 WG64640 EX, but they are identical on keys and layout. Some cosmetic color differences, but everything works perfectly. So far, I am very happy that I bought this.

Close to being an OEM replacement
Does all the functions I use daily to control my Yamaha stereo system. This includes switching to other peripheral components: DVD & TV. It replaced my original remote that was 10+ years old.
