The Resolution for Women Paperback – Bargain Price, 1 Sep 2011

I read some of the reviews where people were saying the examples she used were "too simple" or that the book was a "huge miss". This book isn't for everyone, but for those who were led to look into purchasing this product, I would encourage you to pray as you read through the comments and be led by the Spirit. Priscilla writes in a way that a wide range of people can grasp the concepts; from a "baby Christian" to an advanced theologian. The "simple" examples she uses fit perfectly into the flow of her writing and cause you to remember what was said. I will never look at baking bread the same...I LOVE how God can use even the "simple" to get a point across to us! I have not read the Resolution for Men and therefore cannot compare the two, but this book as a whole deserves 5 stars.

This book earns 4.4 out of five stars from me.As part of my new year goals, I decided to read a chapter (or segment) of inspirational or motivational nonfiction before bed at least five out of seven nights. This represents the first inspirational book chosen for that purpose this year.I love the tiny segments each part of the resolution is divided into. It makes for a perfect reading and reflection length in the evenings. I scrawled several pages worth of notes and introspection during this quiet time.The writing is filled with great illustrations and plenty of scripture references.Why not a higher rating? While the book started out strong, I felt the final few chapters didn't have the same emotional impact. Not because the topics were unimportant or irrelevant either. I'm not sure what went wrong for me, but ending on a lower note than the book started with affected my rating.I still recommend this for anyone who feels like they need guidance for their spiritual journey. It's not really a Bible study, but it has the potential to spark interest in different study topics.

This is a book you will thoroughly enjoy and will make you go back and read it over. I love how the book is broken down for the average busy person to read small pieces at a time. I also love the personal life examples the author uses.

I have never read the resolution for men, so I cant compare it. But I did enjoy this book. The chapters are quite short and the author mentions in the beginning that you should read a chapter a day at most. Its all stuff that should sit with you and make you think about it. I can see how some people may think its shallow if they sat and plowed through it.And unlike some reviewers, I believe that the author did a great job balancing the woman’s role and purpose. On the parts where she talks about stuff that might not apply to all (marriage, children) there were always some comments about what to consider if it doesnt apply to you.

We are using this book for a women's class at church, and everyone has raved about it. It is an EXCELLENT book for Christian women who are not satisfied with being a Christian by name only. It challenges and encourages women in very practical ways. I have recommended it to all of my Christian friends.
