Basic Care Esomeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules, 20 mg, 42 Count

Basic care Esomeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules sold exclusively on AMAZON is not as effective as Nexium 20mg ( Esomeprazole Magnesium Delayed-Release Capsules,BRAND NAME)that is available over the counter.I have tried this for 2 months and I still need to supplement with additional antacids or Nexium 20 mg.I had a very well controlled reflux with other OTC medications like Prilosec 20 mg or Nexium 20 mg.This generic brand is not effective at all.I have not changed diet to cause ineffectiveness of Basic care ESO.I thought AMAZON will get good cost effective medications as it enters a drug market .As an ardent fan of AMAZON,I am totally disappointed.I am not asking for refund or replacement but making buyers more cautious before purchasing this based on my experience.I will think twice before ordering basic care meddication.I am awaiting report of efficacy of Basic care SUDAFED that I ordered for my wife but she has not needed to use it so far.This is my first negative review on AMAZON.I would have given ZERO star or NEGATIVE star but that option has not been provided by AMAZON.

Sleepless nights because switching from Nexium to this generic has just not worked. I take any generic med I can, but didn’t realize until recently this was available OTC. My body has made it clear this was a bad idea. I’m disappointed because I love saving money on medication.

I tried the Publix generic brand for Nexium a few months ago and to my surprise, it wasn't as effective as the name brand. With Nexium name brand I can usually go 2 or 3 days before needing another dose. With the Publix generic I found I needed daily doses, so I was hesitant to try this generic brand. I've been using this for about a month now and can tell no difference between this and the Nexium. Would give it 5 stars, but I still feel it's on the pricey side for a generic. That's true of all the Nexium knock-offs though....

Different medications affect different people differently, and this is one is will not invest in again. My symptoms got worse, and/or I felt absolutely no relief from taking this medication, and I have now switched back to the brand form. Sorry for the negative review, but some people may not respond favorably to this generic brand just like myself. My symptoms have now been abated and I am back to normal again. Thank you for letting me share this information with others.

I have used Nexium for years, but decided to try this product. In less than a week after taking Basic Care, I started noticing mild pains in the evening. My diet remained pretty much the same during this time. I went back to Nexium and no more mild discomfort in the evening. This was my experience; everyone's different.

I am not as pleased with these as I hoped to be. The effectiveness of the medicine doesn't last as long as the name brand, or other generics I have tried. I definitely either take two at a time, or take them every 13 hours instead of 24.

i had gotten to where everything was triggering a really bad acid re-flux problem. I couldn't eat tomatoes, Mexican food, peppers and the end juice and most fruits and practically everything was a problem. but this stopped the problem and within days. I take it daily to keep the problem from coming back. Though I do think $17 dollars for 42 pills is ridiculous because they are really small Easy to take. They are tiny and go down easy and one or two work for the whole day.

I've had GERD for the last few decades and remember when Tagamet first came out. Of all the proton pump inhibitors, Nexium has worked best for me, bar none. I guess that's why even the generic is expensive. I couldn't tell any difference between this brand and the original Nexium, except I double up on the dose since the generic is only 22mg as opposed to the 40 mg name brand. Heartily recommend!
