Some lovely patterns celebrating the civil war traditions. There are fourteen items, all beautifully presented with good easy to follow instructions. The added bonus is the short biographies and photos of women who lived in those times and tried to make a mark. There is even a women who fought as a man for a period of time and was so respected that when she died was given military service.

This book is beautifully photographed and is filled with lovely quilts you will want to wrap yourself up in. They are detailed and use dainty prints in soothing colors. A few quilts have round corners that soften their look even more. My favorite quilt uses large blocks of toile.
