Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo G318M 4GB Single Sim - Factory Unlocked Phone - Retail Packaging (Black)

I wanted an unlocked travel phone primarily for voice and text and this one was fine for the price. There were a number of apps that would not recognize the phone (Metroman, Waygo) and you must keep alert to the battery life. If you are on a budget, this is a great deal.

This is my favorite cell phone, ever! Easy to use. Dummy friendly. I use a bare bones phone plan - no frills and this phone works well even with my cheap-o plan. I am very pleased.

The phone offers a wide variety of options, and is attractive. I especially enjoy the alarm. However, there are three things that I am not happy with. Even so, I don't know if these are common to the Samsung brand in general, since my previous phones were Blackberrys and did not present these problems. First, the phone call sound quality is bad. It is not easy to understand what the person on the other end is saying because there is almost an echo. Second, when the person terminates the call my screen goes black and sometimes the line stays open until I go through the complicated process of introducing my access pass. The shortcut for terminating the call doesn't function. The third inconvenience has to do with the battery. In spite of closing Apps as soon as I finish with them, the battery wears down really quickly. Sometimes I have to recharge it several times in a day. I never had that problem with my other phones. My husband now has a Samsung and he has the same problem with the battery.

Wanted cell like the Galaxy 2 that this replaced. This is just a bit smaller in size not larger than the G2. GREAT for me. This has two mini sims cards. I will use with AT&T service. But you can choose who your service is with except two as stated. Information sheet included to start phone. ie: charge your phone, put batt here and where to put the sims card(s). This uses TWO mini sized cards (never seen one). My old sims card will not fit. Could not find information on line at first as the Samsung site would not take the codes on the box. (SM-G318ML) I called the help number on the site. It took a while but I did get to down load the information sheet for this phone. The main thing was when I went to Samsung galaxy site is had a US at the end. This cell is made for the UK. ie: England. Here is the information sheet if you want to view first. But Samsung did say they will mail me a hard copy (about two weeks).Now about the sims card. I went to my AT&T dealer. Great Idea they were great (Cleveland, Georgia). They have a machine that cuts the large card smaller (could have done that my self but did not know. Trim a littler on each side). They added another card free made sure all was up and working etc. etc. I was out the door with NO CHARGE. Great "smart phone". It does everything my old S2 did ALMOST. Plus a much better battery. I went with black color. Only thing I found was you can't do a selfie with this phone. Photos are good but not as good as the S2. I does have a flash. That's not a problem for my. Sometime I use phone for photos. Most of time I use a camera. My purchase was less then $100.00. Received in TWO days at no extra charge. Very happy. I can still use belt cases that I have purchase for other phone. An really do love the smaller size. Slips in shirt pocket. I can even see the screen easy. Bright screen, loud. Comes with Ear buds and 110 charger. Down loaded my apps that I used before. So far great. I just had to do a little work to get everything together. Now you will give 5 stars. Not even a one! Awful product! Will not send or receive messages on time. Will send and receive then no utes to hours later. Slow with internet and apps. Doesnt support my computer so I'm unable to get files on or off the device. W/o register that an email has been opened and deleted, same with text, either won't register they are there or won't register they have been opened. When it done send they will send multiple times. Keyboard is slow, phone dies quickly.Overall a bad phone. Says it's new but clearly refurbished. Would have been nett to spend the $600 on a new iPhone which I plan to do soon.

Samsung phones are durable I've always loved them. But phone was a midget size not used to tiny phones like that...Works great. A gift though...

Biggest deal-breaker for me, it has no selfie mode---no front facing camera. I was not even looking for that in the specs because I thought that selfie mode was just something that was standard. It can be really irritating sometimes when I need to make a skype call or google hangout and my office computer does not have a webcam/microphone. It is also kinda irritating to constantly ask people to take a selfie-type pic of me.This phone is fine, more or less, but it it just got so slow so fast. Sometimes I need to pull up the gps app to make a quick decision and this phone takes forever to open up the app and runs the app so slowly. It has caused me to miss a better bus or better train on several occasions---In the sense that it impedes my spur of the moment decision making lifestyle.I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I would go for something that is a lot faster and has a better camera.
