Perfect for Phoenix. Keeps the car seat cool through multiple stops over 8 hours out and about. Look closely at the negative reviews here and see that people were trying to leave the cooler in place while the child was strapped in!!!! Cooler is only for when child is out of seat people. Seriously would you want to ride wrapped in ice packs? Works as described.

Love this! Today I placed the seat cooler in the seats for just a couple minutes before placing my kids in their seats. It cooled plenty in just the couple minutes. I placed them back in the seat while my daughter was at an hour appointment and the seats were still cool when we got back into the car. I did the same thing again when I ran another errand that took 30 min. Seats were cool again. They were mostly thawed at this point but they were in my hot 105* or more car for 2.5 hsha and kept the seats cool for my kids.

I bought this for the summer when we experience 100+ degrees outside. I usually put it in the freezer at work during the day, but I have left it in the car by mistake and the seat was still cool at the end of the day. My daughter loves that her seat isn't burning hot when she gets in.

I bought this seat cooler for my daughter for my grandsons car seat. We live in a very hot part of the country. I does work well. Why I gave it four stars is because it is very heavy. Other than that it works as it says it will and my grandson is much cooler. Just be aware that it is heavy to handle.

Poor babies who are enclosed in a car seat or stroller and soon are dripping with sweat. When they can't talk and tell mom and dad, theysit there expiring. I always keep one of those wind shield covers over the car seat in between rides which helps also.This car cooler is a life saver in our hot climate. I keep it in the freezer and put it over the seat about 20 minutes before I take baby in the car and it works like a dream in cooling it off.I also bought a mesh liner for the car seat and the stroller to add ventilation behind the baby's back which is where the enclosed heat piles up.

This car seat cooler is definitely above-average. It folds up nicely and doesn't take up too much room in the freezer. The other thing I really like about it is that it does not sweat when it is left out in the sun in your carseat. It is nice that the carseat stays dry. The only reason I am taking off one star is because I have found it does not last longer than three hours in the summer heat (I am in Phoenix!). By the fourth hour, it still keeps the seat buckles shaded but it has melted down. If I am going to be somewhere and parked outside for a long time I will bring it inside with me and go back to place it in the seat about an hour before I leave.

This is definitely a great item to have in the middle of an Arizona summer. My son likes having a cooler seat when he gets into the car after being out and about for awhile. The design is cute. It's folds up nicely to fit in the freezer. I would recommend.

A must have if you live in Phoenix AZ or similar climate! We found it was pretty much impossible to leave the car seat in the car during errands etc because it would get dangerously hot! At least he was still in a newborn car seat that is easily transported, although that can complicate errands and baby wearing. Knowing it will only get worse when he is in a convertible car seat that you don't remove from the car, I researched options. I ended up buying this even though etsy ones were cuter (custom fabric) and $5-10 cheaper. The problem was etsy ones took 2-3 weeks but I needed it ASAP (Yay Amazon Prime shipping!!) And it has been so worth it!! Makes a huge difference keeping his car seat cool!
