Both work great. Love these for keeping my truck clean and dust free, as well as scratch free.

This duster set does a very good job of removing dust without scratching the finish. The mop strings are dry but still attract and trap dust. The extendable handle makes it easy to reach surfaces on SUV and pickup truck roof areas.

Not a California Duster, but pretty close as far as how well it works. However, I can recmmend this kit for how complete it is. You get a long-handled duster that lets me more easily reach high spots than the California Duster. I would say it gives about 6-8 inches more reach, which doesn't sound like a lot, but going from both sides of your car, you can cover an extra foot of windshield or roof. These are great for windshields of a car in a carport, get the dust and cat footprints off the glass without scratching. When brand new, it can leave a bit of residue, after you open the package and it 'dries out' for a while, it works very well. Next you have a small duster which works great for the dash, under the rear window, or smaller objects. Same duster material, just in a more compact version. Lastly, you get a little detail duster, with little 'fingers' that work very well do get the dust out of the vents in your car. Just orient it so the little 'fingers' go between the louvers of the vent. All in all, I would reccomend them. I think the California Duster works just a little bit better as far as the dust mop material goes, but I prefer the longer handle of this one, as there are times I need just a little more reach.

It worked great to take the dust off but it left some residue from what I’m assuming is on the Brush to pick up and grab all the dust instead of moving it around, but it wipes off if you use a microfiber towel. The brush also left lint behind and it got snagged on a few spots with sharp edges. But I will compliment it on how easy to use it was and how compact it was to fit. And the expandable part makes hard to get spots easy. Just wish the link and small amounts of residue wasn’t all over my car.

Having tried other dusters this one is extremely well built and perfect to use for a car. All the other ones be way too easily and this one is super sturdy.
