I had a humidifier that I thought needed to go in the trash but this cleaner saved its life. I had actually bought a new humidifier that I’ll now be able to return. This $10 product saved me $50!! I’ll definitely buy it again after I use the other 2 packets.

I typically use regular white vinegar to help remove the build-up on old humidifiers. This product does the job quite a bit better than vinegar alone. I wish it came with more than 3 packs for $10 though.

Thought about replacing my ultrasonic humidifier because of a buildup of hard water that made my humidifier more noisy and difficult than normal. Took a chance on this product because $10 wouldn't hurt too bad if the product didn't work. This product got rid of the blue/green hard water stains and helped free the moving parts of my humidifier. If I knew I would be this impressed, I would have taken before and after photos.

I use EZ CAL to clean my Air-O-Swiss 7144 Ultrasonic Humidifier. This works perfectly if you use as directed and do not wait too long between cleanings. AOS recommends cleaning once every 2 weeks, more if you have hard water (and not necessary at all if you use gallons of bottled water). Each box of EZ CAL has 3 packets or 1.5 months worth of treatments based on normal water needs. Simply mix the pre-measured powder packet with 4 cups of hot water, stirring to dissolve. Let this mixture sit in the base for 30 min and then rinse base thoroughly. I find that I do not need to scrub the unit, but if you must, use a soft toothbrush and be very gentle around the rubber seals. Absolutely do NOT run the unit with this stuff in the base.The humidifier/filter model is already a racket but worth noting that using other cleaners besides EZ CAL will void the warranty of your AOS (and AOS claims can cause damage to your unit).Thanks for taking the time to read my review, and I hope you found it helpful in making a purchase decision.

So much easier than using plain soap and water!

This product is supposed to eliminate the lime deposits on my Air-O-Swiss humidifier. I have used it once and it seemed to do the job, although my humidifier is fairly new and has not had much build-up yet. I like to use this as a preventative measure to keep things running smoothly. You need to be careful when opening the pouch, the product is very fine powder and has a tendency to float up and into the air when you are pouring it out....do not inhale this stuff! Try to stand back a little bit when you are pouring it, because if you don't, you'll get a face full of dust. Other than that, it is easy to use. I'm a believer in maintaining my appliances so this is something you need to do to prevent your machine from failing to perform at it's optimal level. And for my Air-O-Swiss model, I paid over $100 for it, so I think it's important to keep it running smoothly.

I’ve looked for best solutions to keep humidifiers clean and have yet to find one that works better or is easier to use than this. I do find the price too high but it’s the same no matter where you try to buy it

I received my box of Boneco humidifier cleaner & descaler on Feb. 18th. After using just 1 packet of this product as instructed, all the hard water scale, that built up in my tabletop humidifier after 1 month's nightly use, was AMAZINGLY dissolved and easily flushed away!! After 2 weeks the app notified me to clean. I inspected and scale had started to build. I followed the instructions and it worked as described. The unit looks brand new again. I recommend to follow the guidelines and clean every 2 weeks if you want longevity with this unit.

It is a ridiculous price. Notice there are no ingredients listed. I felt guilty each time I used it.
