As a result of Osteoarthritis, I developed a very painful Trigger Thumb. I tried everything to get relief but it just got progressively worse. I really feared surgery was in my future. I was told about this brace and immediately ordered it. After only 2 days I was feeling relief. The constant aching no longer required me to take Motrin. Just immobilizing the thumb and letting it rest seems to be working. I love that while immobilizing my thumb, I still have use of my other fingers. It's easy to slip off and back on when needed and the hot and cold packs are wonderful. I would give this 10 stars if possible!!

I have been trying for over a month to get a thumb stabilizer for trigger thumb. I even returned one brace. So far this one is great! Some people said it is very small. I don’t think they realize there are two places that have Velcro so you can adjust the wrist. Then there’s Velcro for your thumb. This particular brace extends all the way to the end of your thumb so it totally stabilizes your thumb. I have only had it one day, but recommend it!

This Thumb splint helped so much while I was suffering from a Trigger finger. The splint is lightweight and not bulky at all. The cold get pack is such a neat invention and made it so easy use. The only downfall was it not Antimicrobial and caused odor due to moisture build-up. I'm in the medical field and I frequently have to wash my hands so the moisture build-up from the water caused the brace to smell. I did remove the splint before washing but I guess over time along with sweat (90-degree weather) it started to smell bad. (This is my honest opinion and I did not receive any compensation for this review)

Bought this for my dad after he broke his thumb in a car accident and he refused to get a cast. Within 10 minutes the part at the tip of the thumb because way too tight cutting off circulation (he does not have big hands at all and swelling was gone by this point) so I had the carefully cut the material that held the two sides together. After that just the Velcro kept it together which works fine for him now! It keeps him from moving his thumb but without cutting it is not meant for all size hands!

Purchased this one along with the GenetGo project as a comparison. The thumb hole on this product feels much tighter than the GenetGo. I don't need to use the velcro on this BodyMoves product.Both have the "brace" on the outside side of the thumb. This restricts the thumb from going sideways, but not fully restrict the thumb from bending in toward the palm. I am able to type with the BodyMoves product and GenetGo.I was hoping for something to stretch and straighten my thumb more. Time will tell.

Have used thumb splint daily. Keeps it from bending,, no pain. Takes the pain away without being too restricted. Will be purchasing another. Haven't tried the gel packs.

I hate to write this. I loved this product for the first week...it worked better than the other two products I had bought for holding my thumb relatively immobile (trigger thumb). Unfortunately, the manufacturer chose to use inferior velcro pads as fasteners...only a couple of weeks in, and the pads are beginning to fail. The velcro is just too fine and strips out pretty quickly.If you are looking for a thumb immobilizer, keep looking. It's sad when a manufacturer makes a great product but cheaps out on an essential component. To say the least, I'm very disappointed.

I just received this brace today and it is absolutely perfect for my trigger thumb. It's comfortable. It's easy to put on and doesn't require any adjustment to use on right vs left hand. A split along the outside edge prevents virtually all thumb movement from base to top joint, allowing my tendon and joint to get the rest they need. My fingers are free to move and I can grasp things with my hand (something I was unable to do with 2" tape wound tightly around my hand and my thumb taped to my finger).I haven't used the gel pack.
