Love Scars: Bad Boy's Bride

Oh, um, wow.I just finished this and I'm still a little breathless. I'm glad I saved this book for last in my reading binge because I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on all the others I just bought. David is the most alpha alpha that ever alpha'd and reading about him dominating Anna was, shall we say, fascinating.The back and forth push and pull between the two characters makes this book, but David is so raw, real, and shameless. The sex scenes... wow, is all I have to say. Five stars. Five. Stars.

BEWARE SPOILERS: I loved it! Hero is a crime boss and is in the business of killing and illicit methods gain income. Heroine's father is also in the same business but a small fish compared to our hero. The hero and heroine's father both have nasty business between them that includes murder and now heroine. Our hero has acquired heroine from her father. She is not willing but victim of circumstances. She is dutiful and does what her father says however she is not in on the deal.So imagine her surprise when she shows up to this run down place thinking she is there for something else and ends up being sexually assaulted by our badboy hero to verify the merchandise!!! He lays it down to her and tells her how it is going to be. Heroine is shocked and fights it. What heroine doesn't realize is her father is scum and sometimes the man we think is the worst is the lesser of two evils. So what will happen when heroine starts realizes what her father is capable of doing to his own daughter to salvage his pride? There will be revelations, plot twist, and action. However, nothing compares to the love that grows between hero and heroine.I personally loved this book. I have already read it countless times. The love that develops between these two is very good. Hero is just crazy about heroine by end of the book. He is one obsessed, loyal, possessive, and protective badboy. The sex was down right dirty!!! My goodness our hero likes messy sex!!! The sex talk is right along with how dirty he likes it in between the sheets!!! Safe read. Hero is loyal so no cheating. There is no OM or OW drama. It is a safe read but physical violence described in this mafia love story. I own it on Kindle and have already read it countless times.

REVENGE IS HOT!I decided to add to this review, although it has been awhile since I began this review, several years, in fact. But, I had to chuckle at another person's review because she nailed it. This sexy fantasy has staying power and like her I have enjoyed rereading it because the two characters develop and reach a love that most of us could never find in our real lives. The hero makes no apologies for his character; he is rough, uncouth, a super alpha and a killer. He is determined to take revenge and in doing so, one of two rival families with generations of bad history will be wiped off the face of the earth and a new birth will unite both families. His confidence and his understanding of the life that he leads is unequal to the majority of the characters that make up my library of bad boys.I have heard that revenge served cold is the most satisfying, this story does not even come close to being cold. If you would enjoy reading about a profanely bad mouthed, egocentric blood and sweat real alpha man; with non-stop super hot descriptions and lots of action, than I suggest this book. David was not a likeable man in the beginning because the arrangement that he had made with Anna's father was only for his chance at revenge for a long violent history between their two families, which killed both his uncle and brother. His language and behavior were shocking to me and putting myself in the character of Anna, I would have wanted to run from this mega-alpha male with the undeniable confidence and brashness when it came to his descriptions of sex. This is a story of confusion, betrayal, hurt, and the determination of a young, sheltered girl to metamorphosis into a new person, to become her own self and a woman. Revenge turned into a beginning of a loving relationship in which David would nurture Anna as an individual despite his dominance. I loved David, knowing that he had a plan that went beyond revenge and that he was successful. Anna understood that the promises made would be kept, that she would have safety and a family with this passionate man.

I really enjoyed David and Anna's characters in this story, as well as how they came together. David is the epitome of alpha male. On the one hand, he treats Anna like a possession that he initially intended to ruin, but on the other hand, it's pretty clear that he would go to great lengths for her and genuinely cares about her. His purpose is to join his bloodline with hers to end an ancient war between their 2 families so the history is quite messy. His version of love is maybe not what most are used to, but the love is definitely there once he gets his hands on her in person. Anna is interesting because she's got a very independent personality but isn't able to exercise her rights so she's very accustomed to being told what to do. David may be incredibly dominating in every way, but he does not limit Anna's freedom so she really struggles with the idea of whether she's actually imprisoned in a marriage with David versus when she lived with her dad. David may also be incredibly selfish and wants to take Anna for his own purposes as often as possible, but he's also very giving with her only. Their dynamic is very unique because of how unsual their situation is and how much they actually feel for each other, whether they want to admit it or not. I think there could have been several parts of the book, particularly regarding their growing love for each other, that could have been expanded upon more deeply because it seemed like one minute they were in lust and then suddenly it was love and I wasn't sure if I missed something. I wanted to see David make a more obvious effort to Anna to show her the things she missed out on in life and how he was the right guy for her even though his style is very much not one to beat around the bush and to state the facts while waiting for her to come to her own realizations.

This is the first book I've read by this author, but I will definitely be reading any others I can get my hands on. It's about two rival clans and Anna, who is the daughter of the head of the Rossini clan. David the leader and sole survivor of the other clan is a total bad boy, gorgeous to look at, a type A ALpha and has a really dirty mouth to boot. He gets the Rossini head to sign a marriage license which will make Anna his property and his wife, in exchange of sparing his life. David wants to use and abuse Anna to make her father squirm, but ends up completely besotted with her. This is a beautiful, passionate love story and I was completely taken by it. Do read and enjoy this book, I certainly did.

.... First off, I adore Nicole's books - especially the Grizzlies, I've read them all twice plus the majority of her other books. But this one just didn't work for me at all 😢It was more of a Caveman I say you do story instead of hot alpha male!Caveman kidnaps her, signs a marriage certificate for her, decides he wants her pregnant, kills her dad and then she loves him. All in the space of a few days???Soz, didn't work for me.

This was intense and action packed right from the start. A shirt story of eventual love. I loved it. The alpha male, David was hit, controlling and protective. Great storyline with real characters.

Not a bad story line it was short but it packed a lot in .sexy bad boy a virgin and a bad ass father mix it all up and there's your story . Sexy boy want girl so he gets what he wants . A nice quick read
